Jennifer Lopez Is Open to Getting Married Again: ‘I Still Believe in Happily Ever After’

After calling off her engagement to Alex Rodriguez, Jennifer Lopez isn’t giving up on the idea of marriage.

While promoting her new movie Marry Me, which dropped its first trailer on November 18, the quadruple threat shared that she’s still a romantic at heart. During an exclusive interview with the Today show, host Hoda Kotb asked if marry me were two words Lopez would like to hear again in the future.

“I don’t know. Yeah, I guess,” Lopez responded, adding, “I mean, you know me. I’m a romantic, I always have been. I’ve been married a few times. I still believe in happily ever after, for sure. One hundred percent.”

Lopez has, in fact, been married three times. From 1997 to 1998, the Hustlers star was married to producer Ojani Noa, then single until her 2001 wedding to actor Cris Judd. Following their divorce in 2003, Lopez was engaged to Ben Affleck until 2004. Though those Bennifer did not make it down the aisle, Lopez married Marc Anthony six months after their split. Lopez and Anthony ended up being married from 2004 to 2014 and share a set of 13-year-old twins, Emme and Maximilian.

Of course, Jennifer Lopez may be right to keep her faith in romance. Following a four-year relationship with Rodriguez that officially ended in April 2021, the JLo Beauty mogul rekindled her past love affair with Affleck. The couple made headlines that same month when they were spotted together after nearly 20 years—and they’ve been making out in public ever since

By July 2021, just two months into their latest romance, a source told People that Lopez and Affleck “are madly in love” and “the loves of each other’s lives.”

Affleck, of course, can’t stop gushing over Lopez. “I am in awe of what Jennifer’s effect on the world is,” he told AdWeek in September. “At most, as an artist, I can make movies that move people. Jennifer has inspired a massive group of people to feel they have a seat at the table in this country. That is an effect few people throughout history have had, one I will never know and one I can only stand by and admire with respect.”
