Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Just Recreated That Steamy ‘Jenny from the Block’ Yacht Scene

Now that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially Instagram official, all bets are off!

On July 25, TMZ published new photos of Bennifer enjoying some time on a yacht in St. Tropez. Based on Lopez’s hairstyle and bathing suit, the pics are from the same outing she posted about on her 52nd birthday featuring a very sexy makeout photo with Affleck (check the third slide).

Things got even steamier on the bow, where Lopez and Affleck were being photographed on and off the ship (you can see the paparazzi photos obtained by TMZ here). In the images, Affleck grabs Lopez’s derriere while looking directly into their own photographer’s camera. Then, the couple shares a kiss before Lopez moves on top of him. They even sent a few smiles in the paparazzi’s direction, suggesting that they were fine with these displays of affection becoming public.

TMZ pointed out that the moment will likely give viewers alive during the early 2000s some serious déjà vu. The couple officially began dating in 2001 after starring alongside each other in the movie Gigli. Soon after, Affleck starred in Lopez’s 2002 music video for “Jenny from the Block.” If you can recall, Ben Affleck pulls a very similar move in the video by Lopez apply sunscreen to those hard-to-reach places.

If you don’t recall, well, here you go:

So yeah, this had to be an intentional homage, right?

In fact, later that night during Lopez’s 52nd birthday party, the pair were seen canoodling while the song in question played overhead. You can watch the pair party it up in this compilation of their friends’ Instagram stories gathered by fan account @jloveglow

According to The Irish Examiner, Affleck once said he regretted appearing in the music video with Jennifer Lopez, suggesting that it damaged his acting career. “If I have a big regret, it was doing the music video. But that happened years ago. I’ve moved on,” he reportedly said in 2008, adding that he didn’t blame Lopez. “It not only makes me look like a petulant fool [to blame Lopez], but it surely qualifies as ungentlemanly? For the record, did she hurt my career? No.”

Well, if he truly regretted “Jenny From the Block” in 2008, it appears he doesn’t anymore. Love that for him!
