Irina Shayk Is Reportedly ‘Pulling Back’ From Kanye West

Is it possible that Irina Shayk and Kanye West’s rumored relationship was just a brief fling? It’s looking that way. 

While TMZ reported in June that West and Shayk were together in France on the rapper’s birthday, one source speaking to Us Weekly in July suggests Shayk is cooling things off. “Kanye and Irina aren’t speaking quite as much anymore,” a source tells the outlet. “She wants to remain friends and keep communication open, but she’s pulling back a bit.”

The insider adds, “Irina does like Kanye, but isn’t ready for so many public appearances together all over the [world] for the coming months.”

The publication reported last month that West and Shayk had “been quietly seeing each other” for a couple of months. They were spotted together in Europe, and a second source said at the time that “Irina and Kanye have been spending time together and getting to know one another. He’s always thought she was beautiful and they’re both looking forward to seeing where this goes.”

However, other sources suggested that West and Shayk had only been only getting to know each other for a few weeks before those France photos went viral. “Kanye and Irina connected recently when they were both in New York City,” a source told E! in June. “They met up one night and had chemistry and hit it off. It’s very casual and they have only been in touch for about a month. Kanye has expressed he doesn’t want anything serious but likes Irina’s vibe.”

“They have been seeing each other for several weeks,” a separate source said. “Kanye has been flying in and out of New York to be with her.”

Following those first dating rumors, it seemed both Kanye West’s and Irina Shayk’s exes, Kim Kardashian and Bradley Cooper, were supportive of the budding relationship. “Bradley would be fully supportive of whoever Irina chooses to date—he just wants her to be happy,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “Bradley and Irina are not just on good terms as coparents; they’re also close as friends and share personal things with each other.”

“Kim doesn’t mind because she saw how quiet and respectful Irina was after she broke up with Bradley,” another source with Us Weekly said.
