Here’s Why Sarah Paulson Wore a Custom Prada Cast to the Golden Globes
How’s my day going? It’s great, just still thinking about Sarah Paulson’s custom Prada cast she wore to the Golden Globes last night (February 28).
Yes, you read that correctly. Paulson, who was nominated for Best Actress in a TV Drama for Ratched, was not about to let some accident on set stop her from absolutely shining on her big night. In fact, she gave her injury the spotlight by wearing a purple-sequined Prada cast to match her eyeshadow and black, off-the-shoulder Prada gown.
“When you’re Lady Paulson, you get a custom Prada cast to go with your custom Prada dress 💜,” Paulson’s stylist, Karla Welch, wrote on Instagram on February 28.
Honestly, it was a moment. “SARAH PAULSON STEP ON ME,” one person tweeted.
“sarah paulson’s prada cast i could never afford,” wrote another.
Of course, Paulson stans were not the only ones enamored by the American Horror Story actor. Paulson’s partner of six years, Holland Taylor, also showed the nominee some love on Twitter. “No one more beautiful,” Taylor wrote. “No one.”
Sarah Paulson first revealed her injured arm on Instagram Stories just a couple of hours before the Golden Globes. “So this happened,” she wrote alongside an image of her arm.
According to Vogue, Paulson was reportedly hurt while filming the new season of American Crime Story. In ACS: Impeachment, Paulson will be playing Linda Tripp, the former White House employee who secretly taped Monica Lewinsky admitting to her affair with President Bill Clinton. (Beanie Feldstein is playing Lewinsky. So, in other words, this show is going to be incredible. For more information on what we know about the series, click here.)
Listen, Sarah Paulson may not have won in her Golden Globes category this year—but she definitely won the night for me. Cast, but make it fashion.
