Gigi Hadid Shares Rare Photo of Her Daughter Khai With ‘Forever Protector’ Bella Hadid

Gigi Hadid is celebrating her baby sister’s 25th birthday with a new photo of her daughter, Khai.

Gigi shared the sweet snap of Bella Hadid holding her one-year-old niece to Instagram on October 10. In the snap, the supermodel and Khai are both wearing cozy sweater sets and seem fascinated by a couple of party balloons.

“We celebrate you today and every day @bellahadid: She’s my baby sister but also a firecracker of a spiritual body guard 😅 and a forever protector as an auntie,” Gigi captioned the post. “I have so much pride watching you take ownership of your growth and fulfillment, and I know everything that you have created for yourself will bring you the year of joy and light you deserve !!!!!! Can’t wait. 25! I love you more every sun-lap.”

Gigi Hadid and boyfriend Zayn Malik share photos of their baby girl sparingly and have yet to show Khai’s face in photos since welcoming their daughter in September 2020. Back in July, she asked fans, publications, and the paparazzi to respect that choice.

“We have never intentionally shared our daughters [sic] face on social media,” the new mom wrote on Instagram stories. “Our wish is that she can choose how to share herself with the world when she comes of age, and that she can live as normal of a childhood as possible, without worrying about a public image that she has not chosen.”

She continued, “It would mean the world to us, as we take our daughter to see and explore NYC, and the world, if you would PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE blur her face out of the images, and if and when she is caught on camera, I know it’s an extra effort, but as a new mom, I just want the best for my baby, as all parents do… and I hope this can continue the conversation to protect minors in the media, even if they come from a public family.”
