Chrissy Teigen Says She Still Feels ‘Kicks in My Belly’ in Post About Her Late Son, Jack

As Chrissy Teigen prepares for endometriosis surgery, the model and entrepreneur opened up about her late son, Jack, who was due to be born some time in early February. 

“My little Jack would have been born this week so I’m a little off,” Teigen wrote on Twitter on February 3. “I truly feel kicks in my belly, but it’s not phantom. I have surgery for endometriosis tomorrow…but the period feeling this month is exactly like baby kicks. Sigh.”

Teigen and John Legend—who share two children: Luna, 4, and Miles, 2—suffered the loss of their unborn son, Jack, after 20 weeks back in September due to pregnancy complications. Teigen has continued to get candid about her grief on social media ever since.

Teigen followed up her most recent post with a video of her stomach moving, writing, “Look at this. I’ll pretend it’s him saying hi—it never stops.” 

She went on to ask her followers to share their experiences with endometriosis surgery, posting, “What is the recovery-difficulty level? Like, can I make soup after?”

As usual, Teigen took time to respond to some of the women who shared their stories with her. “I am so sorry and am sending love for your recovery, beautiful woman,” she replied to one user who shared their journey with Stage 4 Thoracic Endo, Pelvic Endo, and Adenomyosis.

Back in December, Chrissy Teigen opened up about her frustrations with her baby bump post-pregnancy loss. “This is me and my body, just yesterday. Even though I’m no longer pregnant, every glance in the mirror reminds me of what could have been. And I have no idea why I still have this bump, honestly. It’s frustrating,” she wrote on December 23. 

“But I’m proud of where this entire journey took my body and mind in other ways. I love being pregnant, so so much, and I’m sad I never will be again,” she continued. “But I am lucky to have two amazing little ones who are transforming into big little people more and more every single day. Anyhoo. Love u guys. Xx”
