Billie Eilish Paired a Corset With Sweatpants Because Post-Vax Fashion Has No Rules

Remember how the mullet was business in the front, party in the back? And for Zoom meetings everyone was professional on top, pajamas on bottom? Well, add Billie Eilish to the list of those embracing the half-and-half look: She paired a corset with sweatpants, a perfect outfit for going out while also staying in.

In a series of photos posted July 12, the “NDA” singer poses in a patterned corset over a lace bra, topped with a sheer cardigan, accessorized with a whole bunch of jewelry and, just for good measure, paired with gray sweats. Honestly, we’ve been meaning to do a Bridgerton rewatch, and this might be the perfect ’fit for it? Sexy and fancy but also…couch comfy. She wrote in the caption, “Yes, i know.” Uh, yeah, us too, totally.

The corset is from L.A. designer Miaou, Seventeen reports, and costs $225. She looks stunning! 

While Eilish previously stuck to baggy streetwear, she’s recently embraced a different style, even wearing a silk corset on the cover of British Vogue. “Suddenly you’re a hypocrite if you want to show your skin, and you’re easy and you’re a slut and you’re a whore. If I am, then I’m proud,” she told the magazine. “Me and all the girls are hos, and fuck it, y’know? Let’s turn it around and be empowered in that. Showing your body and showing your skin—or not—should not take any respect away from you.”

Eilish isn’t the only one mixing loungewear with high-femme fashions. Blake Lively recently posted a mirror selfie in which she’s rocking high heels, a party dress, and an enormous hoodie. In fairness, Lively’s daughter, Inez, picked that ensemble out for her, but still. Inez is just on the cutting edge of fashion, like Billie Eilish. BRB, ordering a corset right now.
