Andy Cohen Says Everyone’s Been Pronouncing Khloé Kardashian’s Name Wrong
Andy Cohen just dropped a major bombshell: Apparently, we’ve all been pronouncing Khloé Kardashian’s name wrong. He revealed this Monday, March 22, during an interview on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
“I was talking to you backstage, I said, ‘You talked to Khloé Kardashian,’ and you said, ‘I’m pronouncing her, we’ve all been, pronouncing her name wrong this whole time,'” Jimmy Fallon said to Cohen. “Yes, it’s Khloé,” Cohen replied, emphasizing the accent. “Khloé’s the name.”
Cohen then described what it was like interviewing the Kardashians at their home for his new show, For Real: The Story of Reality TV. (The series will document the evolution of reality TV as told by creators and stars, so obviously, Keeping Up With the Kardashians will get an episode.)
“I walked in, I go ‘Khloé,’ and the other women go, ‘Excuse me?’ And Kris [Jenner] said, ‘Yeah, that’s actually really how it’s pronounced,'” Cohen said. “There’s a little thing on top of the name, why am I the only one that got that? I got the memo.” That “thing” he’s referring to is an accent mark, making the pronunciation “Khlo-ay.”
Watch Cohen explain this for yourself in the video, below.
Other than the funny name moment, Andy Cohen also revealed that entering the Kardashian home was a… process. (Which makes sense! After all, they’re one of the most famous families on the planet.)
“I had to get a COVID test before I went there,” he explained. “I said, ‘Oh you want to give me the results of the COVID test?’ They said, ‘Go to Khloé’s, and if the second gate opens, you’re negative.’ And the gate opened and I was like, ‘Alright, I don’t have COVID.'”
For Real: The Story of Reality TV premieres Thursday, March 25, at 9 p.m. ET on E!
