Alex Rodriguez Posted About Not Being Invited to Jennifer Lopez’s Friend’s Party

When a longtime couple breaks up, their mutual friends sometimes feel they have to pick sides. But Alex Rodriguez isn’t ready to say goodbye to the friends he made through his ex-fiancée, Jennifer Lopez.

According to People, the baseball player recently commented on a video posted by Lopez’s close friend, vocal coach Stevie Mackey, playfully asking to be included in future hangs. Mackey posted footage from a small house party to Instagram, captioned, “Doing a little run thru before Taco Tuesday This is my fav part of the night cause I’ve spend 90% of my life in rehearsals😅😳😍 sing @stephanieferrett @tacotuesdayslive (not tonight).” Rodriguez slid right into the comments, writing, “Where is my invite – Stevie?!😍.” Keeping it friendly, Mackey replied, “@arod anytime brother!! Haha.”

After dating for two years, Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez announced their engagement in March 2019, but broke up about a year (and a pandemic) later. In a joint statement at the time, the two said, “We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.” However, rumors of trust issues swirled.

Though Rodriguez reportedly wanted to “get her back,” Lopez quickly moved on to her ex, Ben Affleck. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Lopez and Affleck have been heating up Miami, Los Angeles, Montana, and everywhere in between with hangs. A source told E! Online, “She wants to give it a shot with Ben. They never really had closure and she has always wondered what could have been. The timing was never right and they were in different places until now.”
