Bridgerton: The first of Shonda Rhimes’s new shows for Netflix is a period drama that blends Gossip Girl and Downton Abbey. The series follows Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor, the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family, as she makes her debut onto Regency London’s competitive marriage market.
