Bella Hadid’s latest Instagram Story may or may not shed some light on her thoughts amid her sister’s reported split from Zayn Malik.

On October 28, the supermodel posted—and then deleted—a quote from the Instagram account @mystics_truth. “I can do nothing for you but work on myself. You can do nothing for me but work on yourself,” the post read underneath an illustration of a naked woman sitting thoughtfully on the beach. (You can see Bella Hadid’s since-deleted story here.)

This post comes after allegations arose that Zayn struck the model’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, during an argument at Gigi Hadid and Zayn’s Pennsylvania home back in September while Gigi was away in Paris. On October 28, Zayn shared a Twitter statement about the altercation just before TMZ broke the news:

“As you all know, I am a private person, and I very much want to create a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in. A place where private family matters aren’t thrown on the world stage for all the poke and pick apart. In an effort to protect that space for her, I agreed not to contest claims arising from an argument I had with a family member of my partner’s who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago. This was and still should be a private matter, but it seems for now there is divineness, and despite my efforts to restore us to a peaceful family environment that will allow for me to co-parent my daughter in a matter in which she deserves, this has been ‘leaked’ to the press. I am hopeful, though, for healing for all involved with the harsh words shared, and more importantly I remain vigilant to protect Khai and give her the privacy she deserves.” 

Zayn also gave an official statement to TMZ: “I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid, and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details, and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private.”

Despite denying physically assaulting Yolanda, court documents reviewed by TMZ and Elle.com confirmed that Malik pled no contest to at least one charge of harassment against the Hadids. According to TMZ, Malik will pay a fine and is “on 90 days probation for each count, totaling 360 days.” On top of the fine, Malik reportedly “must complete an anger management class and a domestic violence program.” (You can read more details about the charges here.) 

On October 28, People reported that Zayn and Gigi have broken up, but continue to co-parent their 13-month-old daughter, Kai. “They are not together right now. They are both good parents, though,” a Hadid family friend told People. “They co-parent. Yolanda is, of course, very protective of Gigi. She wants the best for her daughter and grandchild.”

A rep for Gigi told People, “Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time.”

The happy pair weren’t the only ones feeling romantic—Gigi’s mom, Yolanda, also shared an adorable masked kiss with her boyfriend, Joseph Jingoli.

But back to Gigi Hadid. The model was clearly going for a ’70s vibe and knocked it out of the park. According to her stylist, Gigi wore a knit set by Isa Boulder and topped off the look with her XXL hair styled completely straight with a pair of face-framing bubble braids, courtesy of hairstylist Laura Polko. 

This time last year, Gigi celebrated her 25th birthday with a similar crew just a handful of days before confirming she was pregnant with her first child. “Had the sweetest day celebrating my 25th birthday with my quarantine family, who made it so special for me, along with all the love I felt from all over the world,” she wrote at the time. 

“Thank you to everyone for the birthday messages, I carried you with me yesterday!! ?? I am grateful and lucky that my family and friends -near and far- are healthy and safe, and although I missed loved ones I wish I could have celebrated with, know that these times will make us even more grateful for togetherness to be had in the future!”

Yolanda Hadid posted some photos to Instagram on December 14 that revealed the moment her daughter, Gigi, and her boyfriend, Zayn Malik, found out they were having a baby girl. And, of course, a pink cake was involved. 

 “This PINK baby news was the highlight of our year 2020…. Thank you mommy and daddy for this greatest gift @zayn & @gigihadid #Family #Memories,” Yolanda wrote on Instagram alongside two very sweet photos. Look for yourself, below: 

This isn’t the first memory Yolanda Hadid has shared since Gigi gave birth in September. “ My heart is expending with so much love and joy for this little baby girl she is an angel sent to us from above…..Thank you Mommy & Daddy for making me a Oma, I love every minute of it ?,” Yolanda/Oma wrote in October.

Speaking of Swift, some of the singer’s fans thought she might have revealed baby Hadid-Malik’s name on her new album, Evermore, with the song “Dorothea.” However, a source tells TMZ this isn’t the case. The name is still a mystery! 

“Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love,” Gigi Hadid wrote on Instagram in September after giving birth. That tiny hand!

Meanwhile, dad Zayn Malik wrote after the baby arrived, “Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful??to try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together x.”
