Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their son, Prince George, attended a Euro 2020 soccer match at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday, June 29, and there was a little matching-fashion action going on. Father and son looked strikingly similar in dark suits and striped ties, bringing whole new meaning to the term “twinning.” Check out the ensembles for yourself, below. (They’re not fully identical, but come on: There’s definitely some coordination happening here.)

Middleton, meanwhile, looked chic in a red jacket with her hair styled down and in loose waves.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are essentially back to business as usual, attending various engagements in person around the U.K. In April 2020, the Duke of Cambridge opened up about his family’s pandemic life. “We’ve been talking to all the family online,” he said in a a video interview with the BBC. “It’s been a really good way of keeping in touch and seeing each other.”

“As you can imagine, the younger generation are a little bit more tech-savvy. But only just,” Prince William continued. “I think we’re getting there now, the family are getting a little more used to being able to contact each other and pressing the right buttons and not dropping the computer halfway through.”

But the family has since returned to regular in-person gatherings. Prince Harry is even back in the U.K. right now to attend a statue unveiling honoring his late mother, Princess Diana. The Duke of Sussex recently gave a speech virtually to recipients of the 2021 Diana Awards, which honor young activists making positive impacts on the world.

“Later this week, my brother and I are recognizing what would have been our mum’s 60th birthday, and she would be so proud of you all for living an authentic life with purpose and with compassion for others,” he said, according to Harper’s Bazaar. “Our mum believed that young people have the power to change the world. She believed in your strength, because she saw it day in and day out. And in the faces of young people exactly like you, she witnessed a boundless enthusiasm and passion, and I, too, see those same values shine through.”

Kate Middleton Just Wore Another Necklace That Honors Her Three Children https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/kate-middleton-just-wore-another-necklace-that-honors-her-three-children.html Fri, 18 Jun 2021 16:00:00 +0000 https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/kate-middleton-just-wore-another-necklace-that-honors-her-three-children.html [ad_1]

Kate Middleton honored her children while announcing a new project that explores early childhood development.

On June 18, the Duchess of Cambridge shared a video to launch The Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood Development,  an organization working to circumvent the “rising rate of poor mental health” by investing in the first five years of a child’s life.

“The Center hopes to raise awareness of why the first five years of life are just so important for our future life outcomes and what we can do as a society to embrace this golden opportunity to create a happier or mentally healthy, more nurturing society,” Middleton shared in a Twitter video. “By working together, my hope is that we can change the way we think about early childhood and transform lives for generations to come. Because I truly believe big change starts small.”

During her address, Kate Middleton wore yet another piece of jewelry that features the initials of her three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The Trio Diamond Midnight Moon Necklace by British designer Daniella Draper retails for $1300 and is available to engrave with up to three characters.  “The Duchess of Cambridge is an incredible role model—I look up to her as a young woman and a mother,” Draper told People. “Seeing her wearing one of my designs was a very proud moment. Everyone in the workshop thinks it’s just amazing. It’s good morale!”

This is not the first time Middleton has worn her children’s initials close to her heart. Back in September 2020, the Duchess wore a three-pendant necklace adorned with a G, C, and L to a meetup with parents to discuss how families were holding up during the COVID-19 pandemic

More recently, Middleton paid tribute to Princess Diana by wearing an elegant pearl bracelet from her late mother-in-law’s collection to the G-7 Summit on June 11. Clearly, the Duchess is sentimental when it comes to her jewelry collection and we love to see it.

George, Charlotte, and Louis Just Wrote Touching Letters to ‘Granny’ Princess Diana https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/george-charlotte-and-louis-just-wrote-touching-letters-to-granny-princess-diana.html Sun, 14 Mar 2021 17:50:34 +0000 https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/george-charlotte-and-louis-just-wrote-touching-letters-to-granny-princess-diana.html [ad_1]

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have found the sweetest way to honor Princess Diana. March 14 is Mother’s Day in the U.K. and the Royal Family just revealed the family ritual for the first time.

Every year, according to a new Instagram post on the official @KensingtonRoyal account, George, Charlotte, and Louis make cards for their “Granny,” Princess Diana, and give them to their father, Prince William. The Duke of Cambridge and his brother, Prince Harry, lost their mom in 1997.

“This year Mother’s Day will be different once again. Many of us will be apart from our loved ones, but looking forward to a time in the not too distant future when we can give our mother a hug again,” read the Instagram caption. “But for those experiencing bereavement, today may be particularly challenging.”

“Each year on Mother’s Day, George, Charlotte and Louis make cards remembering their Granny, Diana, for William,” the post continued. “Whatever your circumstances, we are thinking of you this Mother’s Day.”

“Dear Granny Diana, Happy Happy mothers day,” seven-year-old Prince George wrote in his letter, which featured a lovely drawing of a landscape. “I love you very much and think of you always. Sending you lots of love.”

Meanwhile, five-year-old Princess Charlotte decorated a heart and wrote, “I am thinking of you on Mother’s Day. I love you very much. Papa is missing you. Lots of love.” Two-year-old Prince Louis decorated his own heart with plenty of insect stickers and wrote his name.

Of course, the little royals also honored their mom, Kate Middleton, this Mother’s Day. In a separate Instagram post, the Cambridges shared a cake baked by George, Charlotte, and Louis, which was served on a heart-shaped plate and decorated with colorful pipe cleaners. On a second slide is a sweet throwback photo of the Duchess with her mom, Carole Middleton

“Celebrating two other special mothers today ❤,” read the Instagram caption. “? made by George, Charlotte and Louis.” Clearly, these kids have skills.

Kate Middleton Says Her Kids Hate This New Job She’s Taken in Quarantine https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/kate-middleton-says-her-kids-hate-this-new-job-shes-taken-in-quarantine.html Fri, 29 Jan 2021 16:14:38 +0000 https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/kate-middleton-says-her-kids-hate-this-new-job-shes-taken-in-quarantine.html [ad_1]

Like many parents, Kate Middleton has had to wear many hats in quarantine: parent, teacher, and—wait for it—hairdresser.

This is something Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis aren’t particularly fond of, the Duchess of Cambridge said to parents during a video chat, People reports

“I have become a hairdresser in lockdown–much to my children’s horror,” she said.

We’re sure Middleton isn’t thrilled about the new job, either–what parent would be? But I will say whenever we’ve seen glimpses of her kids during lockdown, they’ve looked so cute. Whatever tutorial she’s following is working.

And it’s not like she has to cut their hair every day. Helping with schoolwork, on the other hand, is an ongoing issue. Asked to rate her math skills from one to 10, Middleton gave herself a negative five. She happily admitted, “I’m obviously right at the bottom!”

A longtime advocate for early childhood education and mental health resources for families, Duchess Catherine emphasized the importance not of getting every little assignment done, but of staying healthy and as happy as possible during lockdown. She described parenting during the pandemic as “exhausting” and reminded the other parents on the call, “It’s important for our children that we look after ourselves too.

“Fingers crossed, let’s hope for the positivity as you’ve all been saying,” she continued. “Make sure everyone looks after themselves—it’s very hard to prioritize, but it’s definitely needed now more than ever.”

As a royal, Kate Middleton is obviously in a different position than most people when it comes to the pandemic’s challenges. But as a mother of three kids suddenly unable to go to school, she can relate to the increase in activity at home. “As parents, we have day-to-day elements of being a parent, but, I suppose, during lockdown we’ve had to take on additional roles that others in our community and lives would have helped us with,” she said. “I know how challenging it is juggling work, home life, school life, and everything else that you, as parents, are doing, so really well done.”

Prince George and Prince Louis Look Like Twins in Their Family’s Christmas Card Photo https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/prince-george-and-prince-louis-look-like-twins-in-their-familys-christmas-card-photo.html Thu, 17 Dec 2020 12:46:35 +0000 https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/prince-george-and-prince-louis-look-like-twins-in-their-familys-christmas-card-photo.html [ad_1]

Prince George and Prince Louis have never looked more alike than they do in the Cambridge family Christmas card for 2020.

Obviously, they’re brothers, so this is not a groundbreaking revelation, but the photo did make us do a double take. Prince William and Kate Middleton posted the shot, which of course includes a darling Princess Charlotte too, to Instagram. (We’re obsessed with her boots!) The family is dressed casually, in jeans and sweaters, presumably at their country home, Anmer Hall in Norfolk. Prince Louis is hamming it up in the middle, with a fantastically big smile and hair that has lightened up and looks so much like his big brother’s.

“The Duke and Duchess are delighted to share a new image of their family, which features on their Christmas card this year?,” the caption reads.

These kids are growing up so fast! It seems like just yesterday that Middleton and Prince William were standing outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, introducing the world to their youngest son, and now he’s a full-on toddler. Along with his big brother, Prince George, Prince Louis also bears a striking resemblance to his maternal grandfather, Michael Middleton, right down to his fantastic eyebrows.

Along with sharing their Christmas card with the world, the Cambridges also got into the holiday spirit last week with a red-carpet appearance (the kids’ first!) at a special performance of The National Lottery’s Pantoland at The Palladium to honor front frontline pandemic workers.

“The Duke and Duchess and their family attended a special pantomime performance of The National Lottery’s Pantoland at The Palladium, which was held to thank key workers and their families for their phenomenal efforts this year,” they wrote on Instagram about the event. “Before the performance, The Duke delivered a short speech to thank those across the country for the sacrifices they have made to keep the country operating and to support their communities throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.”
