Netflix just revealed what’s coming to the streaming service in March, and there’s a lot to look forward to—old and new. On the first of the month, a plethora of classics arrive to Netflix including, but not limited to, Shrek, Shrek 2, and Julia Roberts ’90s rom com My Best Friend’s Wedding.

Later in the month, the highly anticipated second season of Bridgerton, which dropped its first season in December 2020, finally arrives. We’re ready for more hot people in empire waist dresses breathing heavily!

Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen are arguably the most dramatic couple from the second season of Netflix’s addictive reality dating series Love Is Blind, which has contestants get to know each other from “pods” without seeing each other or meeting in person. Couples get engaged, meet IRL, and then try to make it while working the city they live in together. The hope is that, by the end, they’ll get married.  

But Natalie and Shayne’s engagement had a challenger in Shaina Hurley, who tried to win over Shayne before he proposed to Natalie. And once the couple tried to live their lives normally in Chicago, this triangle has created some drama and tension. 

It seems there was even more drama that we’ll never see, because someone else proposed to Nicole before Shayne did. According to a new interview, those scenes were cut from the show.

In an interview with Metro UK, Love Is Blind creator Chris Coelen said, “There was another guy who—very, very early on—was really interested in Natalie and basically proposed to her. It was very out of the blue, but he just felt like he knew, and she was like, ‘This is just weird,’” Coelen said. “She didn’t have any deep feelings for him, but he had developed very significant feelings for her. Anyway, she said no and he left, and that was that.”

According to Coelen, who did not mention who proposed to Natalie, the proposal was cut due to length and because the proposal was not significant to Natalie’s storyline because it wasn’t important to Natalie. “Again, you only have so much bandwidth within a show, and I think it’s a fascinating story, but because we’re focused on more of her story…I think for her it was less significant,” he said. “It was like, ‘Why is this guy doing this?’ versus ‘Oh, my God, I really have serious feelings for him.’ He had serious feelings for her; she was like, ‘No, I’m not interested in this guy.’ To tell that story properly would have taken up a lot of time that we didn’t have.”

Of course, that wasn’t the only proposal we didn’t see on screen. Maybe Netflix will air an episode with all the outtakes??? Here’s hoping.

Season two of Netflix’s reality romance series Love Is Blind is keeping us guessing and guessing and guessing, and the romance between Mallory Zapata and Salvador “Sal” Perez is included in that mix. The couple shared an immediate and deep connection from the start, but things spiraled just a little bit once they met each other outside the pods, after it became clear to Sal that Mallory’s connection with Jarrette might not be totally over, like he’d thought.

Who Are They?

Mallory Zapata and Salvador Perez are two contestants on season two of Love Is Blind. Mallory is a 32-year-old communications manager from Chicago. Her Insta bio reads, “?Chicago • • Rosie’s mom ? • Family, friends, food, fashion • Youth advocate.”

Her latest grid post, shared on February 11, shows a pic of the pod girls.

Salvador is a 31-year-old executive assistant from Chicago. His Insta bio says, “El Paso, TX Chicago, IL ? Musically inclined – Is love really blind?”

Sal’s latest Insta grid post, shared a day ago, is a reference to the show. “Pov you tell the producers you play the ukulele once,” he wrote in the caption.

What happened on the show?

Mallory and Sal bonded in the first episode of the season over their Mexican heritage and got engaged. However, Mallory also received a proposal from Jarrette. But she rejected that proposal because she had stronger feelings for Sal. “Since the beginning, I’ve connected with you so well,” Mallory told Jarrette. “We have so much in common, and I could talk to you about everything. It’s fun and I laugh with you a lot. I love talking to you all the time. You’re such an amazing person, but there’s always really been two people I’ve felt very strongly for and I feel my other connection I’m just drawn more to that.”

Netflix just announced what’s leaving the streaming service in March 2022, and we have some bad news. If you, like me, are the kind of person who watches the cinematic masterpiece that is Nancy Meyers’s 2006 classic The Holiday no matter what time of year it is, you’ll have to find another way to watch because it departs Netflix next month. 

Other notable departures include 300, The Hangover, Despicable Me, and the steamy 1994 classic Interview With the Vampire, which you should watch for Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, and Antonio Banderas as hot vampires before it leaves but also to catch young Kirsten Dunst’s incredible performance before she possibly wins at this year’s Oscars for The Power of the Dog (a Netflix film, coincidentally).

He was a boy. She was a girl. They were in pods. Can I make it any more obvious? They were on Love Is Blind, Netflix’s addictive reality dating show. And with the finale less than a week away—it airs on February 25—we can barely contain our curiosity. Are Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones still together? Let’s look at the facts….

Who are they?

Twenty-seven-year-old Iyanna McNeely works as a program coordinator at a surrogacy service in Chicago and has an impressively word-salad-based LinkedIn profile. During the show she became besties with fellow Pod Person Natalie.

Jarrette is a self-described sneaker dealer, podcast host, investor, and barber. Actually, make that “barber extraordinaire,” according to his business cards.

What went down on the show?

Jarrette hit it off right away…with another contestant named Mallory. But he was also interested in Iyanna. So when Mallory turned down his proposal, he bounced right back and asked Iyanna to marry him. After a bit of back-and-forth, she said yes—though when Jarrette and Mallory met face-to-face later in Mexico at the cast party, it seemed like there could have been a spark between them again. While Jarrette didn’t get back together with Mallory, Iyanna did have questions (understandably) when she saw their connection. Gotta love a TV love triangle!

However, they worked through that and continued with their engagement after they returned to Chicago.

Are they still together?

While we won’t know for certain until the finale, it sure seems like it! On 2/22/22, Iyanna posted a picture of herself wearing a bride-to-be sash. 

In the caption, she confirmed that this was not just a goof: Iyanna went dress shopping and had a bachelorette party. The day before, she and Jarrette both posted a video of them meeting on the show with a lovely caption, and their fellow contestants commented with heart emoji. All signs point to love! They also point to spoilers. Did Netflix not send out this year’s “shut the heck up” memo, or do they know we’ll tune in regardless? Because we totally will.

The clock is ticking, the countdown has begun, and we are thisclose to the Love Is Blind season-two finale, which airs on February 25. And there’s only one question on our minds: Are Deepti Vempati and Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee still together? Come, blow off work with us and investigate! Here’s all the info we have on another Love Is Blind season-two couple.

Who are they?

Deepti is a Bradley University grad who works in insurance at AllState. A quick perusal of her Insta shows that she’s a dog lover, which is interesting considering…

Shake is a veterinarian. I know, right? Perfect boyfriend career. (Well, perfect for anyone who is not Shake, who has some problematic views on dating. But more on that soon.) Anyway, according to LinkedIn, he’s also a “mindset coach,” whatever that means. And like most millennial men, he also fancies himself a DJ. He did manage to grab the username etcetera, so points for creativity there. 

What went down on the show?

Viewers immediately noticed that Shake is a bit, well, superficial, which we suppose could be more understandable if he were swiping through Tinder—attraction is important—but definitely a deal breaker on a show where the whole conceit is that you can’t see the person you’re connecting with. Hello, the show is called Love Is Blind. 

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it), he formed a connection with Deepti, and they got engaged. But Shake claims the physical chemistry isn’t there, and things have continued to be rocky as he tries to reconcile that with the love he claims he has for Deepti. At least this issue forced them to have deeper conversations than “Could I carry you on my shoulders at a music festival?”

Are they still together?

We’ll find out whether they end up marrying or not in the finale. But per ScreenRant, Shake was spotted recording a Cameo that seemed to hint that he was single or at least unmarried. But then he took to Instagram to say he would never leak a spoiler. Hmm, milking the tension for all it’s worth or playing the long game to keep viewers guessing?

Love Is Blind, but Netflix subscribers sure aren’t so sure that’s true for every couple who get together on the streaming service’s reality dating show. While Shaina Hurley and Kyle Abrams got engaged during season two, they had some serious road bumps in their love story. Here’s everything we know about “Shyle.”

Who are they?

Both based in Chicago, Shaina is a 32-year-old hairstylist while Kyle is a 29-year-old construction worker. Though they both have public Instagram accounts—@shaina.hurley and @kyleabrams10—Shaina’s professional account @shaina.alane.artistry is what she uses to show off her work on clients, including actor Zooey Deschanel. 

What happened on the show?

Of the six couples we saw got engaged on the show—there was at least one more engagement kept off-screen—Shaina and Kyle seemed to have the most working against them. As they discussed during the season, Shaina is a devout Christian while Kyle is an atheist. 

“Shaina has extreme views on religion, and I have extreme views on religion,” Kyle said in a confessional. “I could definitely fall in love with Shaina, but we’re such polar opposites and I don’t think either of us is going to change each other. And it scares me.”

Kyle wasn’t the only one concerned. “Do I want to have the conversation with Kyle about our differences? Yes. No,” Shaina said at one point. “It’s one of those things where it’s like, you’re preparing for the worst, hoping for the best, but you don’t want to know the answer, but you know the answer.”

Things first came to a head during their retreat when Shaina did not want to share a room and ultimately opted to leave without him. “I need better communication from Shaina. She’s a horrible communicator,” Kyle said after Shaina left. “I’m going to have to adjust a lot in order for us to move forward with our relationship. Eventually, I’ll get more confident physically around her. I’ll grow on her a little. Shaina is going to be madly in love with me at the end of it. Ready to get married.”

Love Is Blind, but Netflix subscribers sure aren’t so sure that’s true for every couple who get together on the streaming service’s reality dating show. Season two viewers were enchanted by the sweet and shenanigans-free romance of Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson. But were they in it for the long haul? Here’s all the info we have on another Love Is Blind season two couple…

Who are they?

According to Fansided, Danielle works in marketing…and so does Nick! Wow, a match made in a focus group.

What went down on the show?

They got engaged suuuuper quickly. Literally at the end of the first episode. “I’m ready to be married to him tomorrow,” Danielle said in one confessional. “I am not going to let anything get in the way of this.”

Despite their connection, their time on the show wasn’t a complete fairytale. During a trip to Mexico, the pair had their first fight when Nick attended the cast party while Danielle was sick. Though they returned to Chicago as a couple and continued to plan the wedding, there were a few more disagreements along the way…

Are they still together?

They haven’t appeared in any Instagram posts together, but we did find a HUGE CLUE on their profiles… On February 17, Nick posted a throwback picture of himself drinking with friends on July 4th captioned, “’You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.’ – Wayne Gretzky – Michael Scott – Nick Thompson.” 

If you don’t get the joke, Thompson is referencing the whiteboard from The Office on which Michael has attributed the quote to himself.

Now, two things. First, why would he post a picture from July 4th…in February? Second, the post’s caption was edited (Instagram notes these things). We don’t know what the original caption was, it could have been the same thing with a typo, but consider this…

Simon Leviev says Netflix got his story all wrong. In his first interview since The Tinder Swindler dropped on February 2, Leviev is telling his side of the story.

“I was just a single guy that wanted to meet some girls on Tinder,” Leviev (born Shimon Hayut) says in a sneak peek at his Inside Edition interview, which will be released in two parts on February 21 and February 22. “I am not a Tinder Swindler.”

For the interview, Leviev was joined by his “model girlfriend.” In a second clip shared by Entertainment Weekly, he claims Netflix presented The Tinder Swindler “as a documentary but in truth, it’s like a complete[ly] made-up movie.” He adds, “I am the biggest gentleman in the world. They call me the Tinder Swindler. I am not a fraud and I am not a fake. People don’t know me so they can’t judge me.”

In December 2019, Leviev was convicted of fraud, theft, and forgery and sentenced to 15 months in prison, though he was released after just five months. According to the extremely popular Netflix documentary, he used various aliases to scam women he met through the dating app out of an estimated $10 million. Victims say he conned them into loaning him thousands after lavishing them with expensive dates and gifts. 

Simon Leviev may be banned on Tinder, but he initially kept up a social media presence following the release of the Netflix hit. Just before deleting his Instagram account earlier this month, he asked his followers to “keep an open mind and heart.”

“I will share my side of the story in the next few days when I have sorted out the best and most respectful way to tell it, both to the involved parties and myself,” Leviev wrote, per Glamour U.K. “Until then, please keep an open mind and heart.”

Season two viewers were hooked by the drama surrounding Shayne, Shaina, and Natalie, and still have a lot of questions. If you’re one of them, well, you’ve come to the right place. Who are they?

Natalie Lee is a consulting manager who lives in Chicago. Her Instagram bio reads, “all bad jokes and awkward comments are mine.”  She definitely has jokes. “He may have abs, but I have IBS,” she joked in the caption of her latest Instagram.

Shayne Jansen is a real estate broker who also lives in Chicago (all the cast members do, which is nice; it would suck for Netflix to set people up with long-distance soulmates), and according to his LinkedIn profile, he’s also been a personal trainer.

What went down on the show?

Despite a connection with Shaina Hurley and some other ups and downs, Shane ultimately pursued a relationship with Natalie and the pair got engaged. 

But that’s not where the story ends. Later, when Shaina visited the cast after leaving, she and Natalie talked about Shaina’s being single, and Natalie seemed to think that her relationship with Shayne would be stronger if Shaina found herself a boyfriend. Was she threatened or trying to deflect a potential obstacle? Shaina and Shayne talked about it, which revealed fundamental communication issues in Shayne’s relationship with Natalie.

Are they still together?

Well, on February 17, Jansen posted a series of pictures from his time on Love Is Blind to Instagram. “To say I had a crazy week is an understatement! As I reflect back on the pods and my time in Mexico, I made some great connections and lifelong friends,” he wrote. “I want to make sure everyone knows that Natalie is an incredible woman with a huge heart and I hope everyone stays tuned to see how it all unfolds! I wouldn’t trade my time on this wild ride for anything. ”

The same day, Lee shared the post to her Stories and wrote, “just a reminder that what you see on the show is a small facet of our love story and who we are as people .” So….yes?
