It’s really, truly fall. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher proved it when they went full prep school during a recent joint outing, their first red-carpet appearance together in years. These two don’t often hit the premiere circuit, especially not Kutcher, who balances his acting career with investing. But the married parents of two, who met on the set of their sitcom That 70s Show, stepped out together for a very good cause: fighting cancer and talking up the vaccine.

Per People, they attended the opening of the Lawrence J. Ellison Institute, a new medical center at USC for cancer research. While there, they spoke about the challenge of having kids who are too young to qualify for vaccines but old enough to attend school. “Yeah, it is [weird], because every day you’re like, ‘I hear it’s going to be approved by X date,’ and then it gets pushed and it gets pushed, and you hope that it’s getting pushed for the right reasons and not just because someone wants to put their name on it,” said Kunis. Both she and Kutcher were vaccinated in the spring.

“And who wants to be the parents that give their kid COVID and then gets their kid’s school shut down and keeps kids from being educated because they didn’t get vaccinated because the kid couldn’t get vaccinated?” added Kutcher.

Mila Kunis looked very business-y in a dark pantsuit and classic handbag. She kept her hair down and tied the ensemble together with simple black heels. Kutcher, meanwhile, went full WASP in a striped shirt and dark cardigan. The only misfire here is Kutcher’s shoe choice. Gray sneakers?! For an outfit that would make Nate Archibald proud? C’mon! At least toss on some Sperrys to complete the ’fit. Commit to the theme, Ashton Kutcher!

Mila Kunis Hilariously Reignited That Whole Bathing-Her-Kids Debate https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/mila-kunis-hilariously-reignited-that-whole-bathing-her-kids-debate.html Tue, 28 Sep 2021 18:36:34 +0000 https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/mila-kunis-hilariously-reignited-that-whole-bathing-her-kids-debate.html [ad_1]

America is desperately in need of a silly debate right now, and Mila Kunis has once again stepped up to the plate to give us one. Thanks to a new interview, she’s stoking the hilarious fire she and Ashton Kutcher lit during the summer when they revealed how often they bathe their kids.

For those who somehow missed it, the two were interviewed on Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert in July, and casually revealed they aren’t fastidious about their family bathing routine. Not intending to stir up a drama, Kunis mentioned, “When I had [newborn] children, I also didn’t wash them every day…. I wasn’t the parent that bathed my newborns—ever.” Kutcher added, “Now, here’s the thing: If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.”

Shepard agreed, and his wife Kristen Bell later weighed in on the discussion, saying on The View, “I’m a big fan of waiting for the stink…. Once you catch a whiff, that’s biology’s way of letting you know you need to clean it up. There’s a red flag…. I don’t hate what [Kunis and Kutcher] are doing. I wait for the stink.”

Then came the takes. Jake Gyllenhaal made a joke that no one could tell was a joke; Jason Momoa and The Rock both proclaimed they’re in the pocket of Big Shower, and to set the record straight (we guess), Kunis and Kutcher posted an Instagram video in August that showed them laughing and, yes, getting their kids ready for a bath.

But the story’s not over till it’s over. Mila Kunis just went on Ellen to address the minor brouhaha, clarifying a few things and making some jokes. “The kids, there’s a body of water that they touch just about every day,” she said. “Almost every day. Sometimes it’s the pool, sometimes it’s a sprinkler. It just depends…. It’s COVID. It was like, Who showers in COVID? We don’t leave the house. Who cares?”

She also revealed, “My intent every day is to bathe my children. I wake up every day, and I’m like, ‘Today I’m going to shower my kids.’ And then bedtime happens and I forgot to feed them.” That last part is clearly a joke, but, acknowledging the segment had kind of gone off the rails by the end, she later declared, “I feed my kids, you guys!”

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher Respond to Drama Over How Much They Bathe Their Kids https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/mila-kunis-and-ashton-kutcher-respond-to-drama-over-how-much-they-bathe-their-kids.html Thu, 12 Aug 2021 13:57:07 +0000 https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/mila-kunis-and-ashton-kutcher-respond-to-drama-over-how-much-they-bathe-their-kids.html [ad_1]

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are having a good laugh over all the hubbub the internet made about how much they bathe their kids.

ICYMI: The subject came up during their recent interview on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast. “When I had [newborn] children, I also didn’t wash them every day,” Kunis said, according to BuzzFeed. “I wasn’t the parent that bathed my newborns—ever.” And Kutcher added, “Now, here’s the thing: If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.”

Social media, of course, did its thing with these comments: A roaring debate emerged over how much parents should bathe their children—and also themselves. It was exacerbated when Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard came out with a similar stance on their kids; “I’m a big fan of waiting for the stink,” Bell said, per BuzzFeed. Then Jake Gyllenhaal ignited the fire when he told Vanity Fair, “More and more I find bathing to be less necessary, at times…. There’s a whole world of not bathing that is also really helpful for skin maintenance, and we naturally clean ourselves.” Since when did…not bathing become so in?

Who knows, but Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are taking all of this lightly (as they should). On August 11 they posted a video of themselves—wait for it—bathing their kids, and they were giggling the whole way through.

“You’re putting water on the children? Are you trying to melt them?” Kutcher said faux-incredulously, as Kunis laughed. “Are you trying to injure them with water? This is ridiculous! What’s going on?”

“We’re bathing our children,” Kunis said, to which Kutcher responded, “That’s, like, the fourth time this week! Four times this week! Their body oils are gonna be destroyed! What are you trying to do?” Watch this for yourself in the post, above. Whether you’re pro- or antishowering, you’ll definitely be laughing.

Jake Gyllenhaal Is the Latest Celebrity to Speak Out Against…Bathing? https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/jake-gyllenhaal-is-the-latest-celebrity-to-speak-out-against-bathing.html Fri, 06 Aug 2021 18:28:13 +0000 https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/jake-gyllenhaal-is-the-latest-celebrity-to-speak-out-against-bathing.html [ad_1]

Three is a trend! Jake Gyllenhaal is officially the latest celebrity to come out against…*checks notes*…washing his body.

Bathing and showering first entered the Hollywood discourse in late July, when Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher revealed they only wash their kids if they “see dirt on them.”

“When I had [newborn] children, I also didn’t wash them every day,” Kunis told Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert, according to BuzzFeed. “I wasn’t the parent that bathed my newborns—ever.” Kutcher added, “Now, here’s the thing: If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.”

Just a week later, Shepard and his own wife, Kristen Bell, appeared on The View and shared their own feelings on the subject. “We bathed our children every single night prior to bed as their routine, then somehow they just started going to sleep on their own without their routine and we had to start saying [to each other] like, ‘Hey, when was the last time you bathed them?’” said Shepard, per BuzzFeed.

“I’m a big fan of waiting for the stink. Once you catch a whiff, that’s biology’s way of letting you know you need to clean it up. There’s a red flag,” Bell said, adding, “Honestly, it’s just bacteria; once you get bacteria, you gotta be like, ‘Get in the tub or the shower.’”

Now, when it comes to infants, this may not be a bad call. “Over-bathing an infant may dry out the skin, making it itchy and rashy,” Kelly M. Cordoro, M.D., a professor of dermatology and pediatrics, once told The New York Times. “It can be very irritating and unnecessary, as it can wash away the top layer of protective skin cells, natural oils, and normal healthy bacteria, leaving the skin dry, itchy, and vulnerable to irritation and possibly skin infections.”

Kutcher, Kunis, Shepard, and Bell’s children all range between four and eight years old, but what about grown adults? Well, according to Jake Gyllenhaal, it’s not always “necessary.”

“More and more I find bathing to be less necessary, at times,” he told Vanity Fair in an interview about Prada’s Luna Rossa Ocean fragrance(!!!). “I do believe, because Elvis Costello is wonderful, that good manners and bad breath get you nowhere. So I do that. But I do also think that there’s a whole world of not bathing that is also really helpful for skin maintenance, and we naturally clean ourselves.” I guess that’s what the $94 cologne he’s shelling is for?

Obviously, people on Twitter had thoughts. The actor is currently trending with over 13 thousand tweets, most of which look something like this:

If this was meant to be a distraction from Taylor Swift’s announcement that she is releasing a 10-minute version of “All Too Well” on the Red (Taylor’s Version) album, then I guess it worked… Oh wait:

Maybe not.

Kristen Bell Says Smell Lets Her Know When It’s Time to Bathe Her Kids https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/kristen-bell-says-smell-lets-her-know-when-its-time-to-bathe-her-kids.html Wed, 04 Aug 2021 19:19:16 +0000 https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/kristen-bell-says-smell-lets-her-know-when-its-time-to-bathe-her-kids.html [ad_1]

A week after Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher revealed they only bathe their kids once they see visible dirt on them, Kristen Bell is opening up about how she knows it’s time for a bath: when her kids start to smell a bit. And she’s got both a scheduling reason and a scientific reason to back her up on that.

She and her husband, Dax Shepard, recently appeared on The View to talk about how they handle kid dirt. “We bathed our children every single night prior to bed as their routine, then somehow they just started going to sleep on their own without their routine and we had to start saying [to each other] like, ‘Hey, when was the last time you bathed them?’” said Shepard, per BuzzFeed.

“I’m a big fan of waiting for the stink,” agreed Bell, explaining that she and Shepard don’t let their kids go around stinking up the place. “Once you catch a whiff, that’s biology’s way of letting you know you need to clean it up. There’s a red flag.” The Frozen star has thought it through from a health perspective too. “Honestly, it’s just bacteria; once you get bacteria, you gotta be like, ‘Get in the tub or the shower,’” she said before backing up her Bad Moms costar: “I don’t hate what [Kunis and Kutcher] are doing. I wait for the stink.”

As with Kunis and Kutcher’s method, the Shepard-Bell way of doing things might actually be better for young skin, especially with newborns and babies. Kelly M. Cordoro, M.D., a professor of dermatology and pediatrics, recently spoke to The New York Times about this subject. “Overbathing an infant may dry out the skin, making it itchy and rashy,” she said, per BuzzFeed. “It can be very irritating and unnecessary, as it can wash away the top layer of protective skin cells, natural oils, and normal healthy bacteria, leaving the skin dry, itchy and vulnerable to irritation and possibly skin infections.”

Sounds like Kristen Bell is keeping an eye (and a nose) on her kids’ health, which is the most important thing a parent can do!

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher Say They Only Bathe Their Kids If They ‘See Dirt on Them’ https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/mila-kunis-and-ashton-kutcher-say-they-only-bathe-their-kids-if-they-see-dirt-on-them.html Tue, 27 Jul 2021 20:42:05 +0000 https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/mila-kunis-and-ashton-kutcher-say-they-only-bathe-their-kids-if-they-see-dirt-on-them.html [ad_1]

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher recently sat down with Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast to talk all things parenting—including how often they bathe their kids.

“When I had [newborn] children, I also didn’t wash them every day,” Kunis said, according to BuzzFeed. “I wasn’t the parent that bathed my newborns—ever.” (She and Kutcher have two children together.)

Kutcher added, “Now, here’s the thing: If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.”

Shepard agreed that using soap to get rid of the body’s natural oils every day was a bad idea, suggesting a just-water cleaning routine instead. Kunis added, “I didn’t have hot water growing up as a child, so I didn’t shower much anyway.”

Mila Kunis opened up to The Telegraph in 2020 about her home and family life. “We do family outfits,” she said, according to People. “It makes everyone go crazy. Last year I dressed [daughter Wyatt Isabelle] as a pig. I went as a pig. And my husband went as a pig.”

She also called Kutcher “brilliant” and “an incredibly hands-on” parent, saying, “When my child was born, I was breastfeeding and he said, ‘That’s your connection, I want to change every diaper.’”

And on her work-family life balance, she said (per People), “I don’t live to work, I work to live. I never took my career too seriously before. After becoming a mom, I definitely don’t.”

Ashton Kutcher Thought He Caught Mila Kunis Watching Porn—But It Was ‘Bridgerton’ https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/ashton-kutcher-thought-he-caught-mila-kunis-watching-porn-but-it-was-bridgerton.html Tue, 02 Feb 2021 20:16:51 +0000 https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/ashton-kutcher-thought-he-caught-mila-kunis-watching-porn-but-it-was-bridgerton.html [ad_1]

Read this article before you start Bridgerton without telling your partner!

Like many couples, and especially during the pandemic, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have been binge-watching Netflix together. Talking to Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager on the Today show, they fessed up to their particular viewing habits and, yup, Bridgerton is included.

When asked which one of them is more likely to sneak in an episode of a show they’ve been watching together, Kutcher pointed to Kunis. When asked about the super-steamy series Bridgerton specifically, things got a little more interesting.

“Tell them what happened last night!” Kutcher said in the interview.

And Kunis did just that: “I’m on episode five, for anyone that has seen it, y’all are aware of what happens in episode five. I fall asleep by 9:30, I am out. It doesn’t matter what it’s on, I am asleep. Last night I stayed up ’til midnight. I was like, ‘What’s happening in this show?’ He’s dead asleep, wakes up in the peak of the fifth episode, and this might be TMI for morning, but he literally goes, ‘Are you watching a porno?’ Like, he was so confused!”

Kutcher then interjected, “It looks like a porno that she’s watching in the middle of the night! I didn’t know what was going on. I was like, ‘Is somebody else in the bed?’ It was terrifying!”

But Kunis was watching for the plot, okay? She told her husband, “Be quiet. This is the wedding.”

Kotb and Bush Hager then assured Kunis that the show gets better and promised Kutcher he will like it when she’s finished. “This show has brought a lot of couples back together,” Bush Hager said. Watch their full interview, below. The Bridgerton talk starts around the 6:40 mark.

Lucky for all three women, Netflix recently announced a second season of Bridgerton. (Here’s everything we know about it.) We cordially invite Ashton Kutcher to catch up on the episodes and get in on the fun.
