Ben Affleck has really outdone himself this time.

In a new post shared on Jennifer Lopez’s newsletter, On the JLo, the Marry Me star shared a nearly 4-minute music video created (or, more likely, commissioned) by her boyfriend. The “On My Way: The Remix” music video combines a performance of her song with photos and videos from their first relationship in the early 2000s. It ended with a sweet kissing selfie of the pair from their rekindled romance, which began in Spring 2021. 

Along with the video, which you can watch here, Lopez opened up about the significance behind Affleck’s “very special” gesture. “I am going to share something very special and personal with you that normally that I would only share with my inner circle,” she told subscribers, per The Daily Mail. “It’s an early Valentine’s Day present from Ben. Watching it made me think about the journey of true love, its unexpected twists and turns, and that when it’s real, it actually can last forever.’”

She added, “This seriously melted my heart.”

During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Jennifer Lopez revealed why her current relationship is built to last. “I don’t think we would have got back together if we thought that was where it was headed,” she said. “We feel like what we found again is so much more important, and how we protect that and how we live our lives—what to share, what not to share—is the balance that we have now, the benefit of experience and the wisdom that we gained over the years.”

This isn’t the first time she’s opened up about their unconventional “love story” with Affleck.

In early February, Lopez explained how they’ve changed as a couple since their 2004 split. “It’s a beautiful love story that we got a second chance,” Lopez told People. “Before we kind of put [our relationship] out there and we were naive and it got a little trampled. We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things. We’re so protective because it is such a beautiful time for all of us.”

Rose gold is a common highlighter shade (cue Rare Beauty’s Positive Light Liquid Luminizer Highlight in Transcend), but it turns out that it also makes for a fabulous nail polish shade, per Jennifer Lopez’s recent manicure. 

Lopez’s nail artist, Tom Bachik, shared a photo of the singer’s manicure in an Instagram post on February 9. For this nail set, he tells Allure that he used Daily Charme’s Rose Gold Powder to decorate her French manicure tips and Swarovski Crystals in the shade Golden Shadow on the very tips of her nails. 

Bachik also posted a video of the singer wearing the subtly chic mani while singing onstage for Marry Me Tonight! Jennifer Lopez & Maluma Live, a one-hour concert event that premiered exclusively on Peacock on February 8. Lopez and her costar, Maluma, performed several songs from her new movie, Marry Me. 

This manicure comes a week after the debut of her nail set that looked as if it was dusted with real flecks of silver and gold. In reality, the semiprecious metal effect was all an illusion and was made possible by one nail polish alone. Similar to her new rose gold tips, the silver and gold manicure also erred on the more subtle yet opulent side of all things nail art. 

We can probably declare thousands of manicures that have been brought into existence as perfect Valentine’s Day nail inspiration, but this nail set is more than ideal for those who are not so into all the classic reds and pinks that go along with the holiday. Jennifer Lopez is not missing one single opportunity to remind us that her new rom-com Marry Me is coming out. When she promotes a project, she promotes it with her whole dang self. As she should! It’s called being a mogul!

The multi-talented star walked the red carpet for the premiere of the movie—about an unlucky-in-love singer who falls for a math teacher played by Owen Wilson—with her boyfriend Ben Affleck by her side. And she wore a white lace dress that is, in a word, bridal. 

This is Jennifer Lopez’s world, and the rest of us are simply living in it. The white mini Tulip gown is from Giambattista Valli’s Love Collection, per Harper’s Bazaar, and the fashion house’s first line of bridal gowns. Did you catch that? The Love collection? Okay, moving on. The outlet also reports Lopez wore heels from Jimmy Choo, a crystal clutch from Dolce & Gabbana, and diamond earrings from Dior. Affleck wore pants and a jacket, likely but not definitely from a brand.

Gotta say, the woman glows in white! She’s been all about the bold coats and patterns recently, but this relatively simple and super feminine look really, really works on her as well. That famous J.Lo glow continues to prove that the star can wear literally anything.

Stepping out in a head-to-toe lewk in New York City on the Marry Me press tour, the singer-actor-mogul donned an emerald wrap coat that perfectly matched her crocodile handbag and the flowing floral dress underneath.

Harper’s Bazaar reports that the dress and outerwear are both from Milan fashion house Del Core’s pre-fall 2022 collection, the white heels from Tom Ford, her purse from Aspital of London, jewelry by Pasquale Bruni, and sunglasses from Bulgari. And you thought the sale section at J. Crew was swanky…

The brand’s Instagram described the dress thusly: “Blooming and coiling and fading seduction through a naturalistic lens.” Great!

The coat, should you care to wonder, is “an autumnal stream of deep green, moving in architectural elongations.”

In addition to her headline-grabbing rekindled romance with Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez has been making bold fashion moves lately. Once a streetwear icon, she’s gone full glam (with a side of sex appeal), recently turning a leather bra into a top.

Of course, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are in it for the long haul. Now that the once engaged pair are back together, they’re ready to go the distance. Lopez just said so in a new interview.

She also reflected on the horrible treatment the couple received from the media and public during the early aughts, and how it didn’t match the loving relationship she was in at the time. “It’s funny because Ben and I were together, and we were so in love…. It was one of the happiest times of my life,” she said. “But also there was this other thing happening where we were being criticized, and it really destroyed our relationship from the inside out, because we were just too young to understand at that time what were really the most important things in life.”

She added, “It was brutal. It’s one of those things that you bury very deeply so you can move on and get about your business.”

Thankfully, the waters of dating in the public eye seem to have calmed ever so slightly. They’ve been hitting red carpets together, looking happy as famous clams, and a source even says there might be another proposal soon. 

“It’s a beautiful love story that we got a second chance,” Lopez recently told People. “Before we kind of put [our relationship] out there and we were naive and it got a little trampled. We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things. When Jennifer Lopez does press, it is automatically the best time of the year. Case in point: Just remember last year when J.Lo spent much of the summer and fall supporting new/old beau Ben Affleck for his films The Last Duel and The Tender Bar. And, of course, their rejuvenated relationship. 

Now, Jennifer Lopez is in the midst of a press tour for her latest film, Marry Me, which marks a return to her rom-com roots opposite Owen Wilson. For an appearance promoting the film on The Today Show on Thursday, February 3 in New York City, J.Lo served a look that involved wearing not one, not two, but three pieces in the same pattern from Fendi. 

The biggest piece Lopez wore is a Fendi velvet trench coat with a blue marbled pattern. She wore the trench coat over a Fendi silk dress in the same exact pattern and paired the whole thing with a third piece in the collection: a velvet Fendi purse. The whole look is a fun experiment in creating a monochrome look with patterns.

Jennifer Lopez wore her hair in a tight, high ponytail and wore gold hoops that match the hardware on the Fendi handbag. For footwear, the actor/pop star wore a pair of high-heeled suede boots in a light neutral brown color.

That same day, Lopez was seen in another matching print-on-print look. This time, she opted for a snakeskin turtleneck dress with a matching trench coat and boots. She balanced the dramatic look with more low-key styling by keeping her makeup neutral and glowy, pulling back her hair into a simple bun, and adding a structured black bag. 

As a fellow wearer of curtain bangs, I couldn’t help but remain completely mesmerized by the sight of Jennifer Lopez’s wispy curtain bangs in a recent announcement for Sephora Mexico. The Latin American branch of the French beauty retailer shared some major developments regarding Lopez’s namesake skin-care line, JLo Beauty, in a video posted to its Instagram on January 5. 

In the eight-second video, the singer reveals in Spanish that the wait for JLo Beauty’s arrival in Sephora Mexico’s stores is coming to a close and will officially become available for purchase beginning on January 7.  

Now, let’s go back to J.Lo’s gorgeous curtain bangs, shall we? They’re nothing new, of course (hairstylist Chris Appleton gave Lopez the trendy fringe back in May of 2021), but there’s no doubt that they were one of 2021’s most popular hairstyles. Fellow celebrities such as Lily Collins, Rihanna, and Anne Hathaway decided to give the stylish bangs a try last year as well.

Any remaining questions about Jennifer Lopez’s feelings towards Ben Affleck can probably be put to bed right now. 

In her latest Instagram post—a fairly straightforward promo for the women’s clothing brand Aritizia—the multi-talented star posed in a simple white outfit and cozy puffer jacket, which was the subject of her post. “Cosy morning in my Super Puff,” she wrote in the caption on December 21. 

And nothing says “this is just me doing my morning routine” than an (empty) coffee mug in hand. A cute ‘Gram for sure, but not much else to it, right? Wrong. Fans and followers were quick to note that the mug in question has a giant “B” design on it. Obviously, neither Lopez’s first nor last name starts with B. Nor do the names of her parents or her children, 14-year-old twins Emme and Maximillion. Her boyfriend, however…

“B AS IN BEN ?” wrote one commenter, echoing the feelings of many.

Honestly, a genius move. The rekindled romance between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck has been the talk of the town since they were first spotted together in April 2021, so this Easter Egg basically guarantees extra eyeballs on the post. It also low-key paints them as a “normal” and “relatable” couple with very minimal effort. He has coffee his own coffee mug at her place (maybe)! Perhaps he even took this picture! Truly, we are not knocking this. The couple was famously hounded by paparazzi the first time around, and the media was less than kind about the whole thing. So to see Affleck and Lopez turn the tables and control the narrative twenty years later? Good. For. Them.

Lopez even went on the offensive earlier this week, speaking out when Affleck’s recent comments about his struggles with alcohol abuse led some to believe he was blaming his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. When reports began to surface that Lopez was mad at him over the controversy, the singer told People on December 18 that “this story is simply not true.” 

She continued, “it is not how I feel…I couldn’t have more respect for Ben as a father, a co-parent, and a person.”  Hey, she’s got the mug to prove it. This is Jennifer Lopez’s world, and the rest of us are just living in it.

Jennifer Lopez denies rumors that she’s upset with Ben Affleck over a recent interview that sparked backlash online. 

On December 18, the singer told People that “this story is simply not true,” adding, “it is not how I feel. Lopez was engaged to Affleck back in 2002 until the pair called off the wedding in 2004. Nearly 20 years later, they reunited in April 2021 and have been hot and heavy ever since. 

“I couldn’t have more respect for Ben as a father, a co-parent, and a person,” she told People. 

This clarification comes after Affleck, who was married to actor Jennifer Garner from 2005-2018, made some controversial comments about his marriage and alcohol abuse during a recent episode of The Howard Stern Show. 

“I’d probably still be drinking,” Affleck said on the show, per People, referring to if he was still married to Garner. “It’s part of why I started drinking…because I was trapped. I was like, ‘I can’t leave because of my kids, but I’m not happy, what do I do?’ And what I did was drink a bottle of Scotch and fall asleep on the couch, which turned out not to be the solution.”

“The truth was, we took our time, we made the decision. We grew apart. We had a marriage that didn’t work,” Affleck said, according to ABC News. “This happens.”

Shortly after the quotes went viral, a source told Page Six that Jennifer Lopez was “pissed” over the situation. “[Lopez] is pissed,” the source said. “She is getting pulled into this because she is dating him. She doesn’t want to be dragged into this.”

They continued, “She has met Jennifer Garner. She is trying to get to know her and Ben’s kids.”

However, another source at the time told Page Six, “This is simply not true and the focus is on the children.”

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on December 15, Affleck addressed the Howard Stern interview and suggested that the media “made it seem as if I was saying the exact opposite of what I said.”

“I had gone on and said how much we respect each other and cared about each other and cared about our kids and put them first and went through our stuff,” Affleck told Kimmel, per E! Online. He added that the following reports that he “blamed my ex-wife for my alcoholism and that I was trapped in this marriage” were not true and “just made me out to be like the worst, most insensitive, stupid, awful guy.”

He continued, “That’s not true. I don’t believe that. It’s the exact opposite of who I am, what I believe and I would never want my kids to think I would ever say a bad word about their mom…it hurts my feelings.”

Despite being more than willing to hit the red carpet together and even pop up on each other’s social media feeds, the resurgent power couple Bennifer (Ben Affleck + Jennifer Lopez) isn’t spilling much in interviews. But in a new Wall Street Journal profile, Affleck opens up—a little bit. 

“I can say that it’s definitely beautiful to me,” he said about his reunion with Lopez, according to InStyle. “And, you know, one of the things I really value across all facets of my life now is that it was handled in a way that reflected that.”

He continued, “My life now reflects not just the person that I want to be, but the person that I really feel like I am—which is not perfect, but somebody who tries very hard and cares very much about being honest and authentic and accountable. It’s hard to say who benefits more, without going into gossipy detail.”

And to tease us further, Affleck added in the profile, “I could just say that I feel great about being very healthy. And it is a good story. It’s a great story. And, you know, maybe one day I’ll tell it. I’ll write it all out. And then I’ll light it on fire.” 

Unfortunately, that’s probably all we’re going to get from Ben Affleck. “You can write conjecture about it, but one of the harder lessons that I have learned is that it’s not wise to share everything with the world,” he told WSJ. “I know that I feel more comfortable having those healthy boundaries in my life around which, in a friendly and straightforward way, I tell you, I just don’t want to be talking about my personal relationship in the newspaper. I’m going to exercise a little restraint.”
