Jennifer Aniston is known for her flawlessly straight and highlighted hair, but in a recent social media post, she put her natural hair on display. 

On Thursday, January 13, the Morning Show star posted a relaxed, no-makeup selfie on Instagram. In the picture she showed off her natural waves and frizz, and wrote in the caption, “Okay, Humidity…Let’s go,” and tagged the hair-care brand she founded, LolaVie.

LolaVie’s main products are the Glossing Detangler and the Perfecting Leave-In, the latter of which is designed to be anti-frizz. LolaVie products have formulations that are, according to its site, designed to be “effective, smart, and unfussy-ones that solve real problems without the fluff.” It seems like Aniston will be using these products to combat the humidity-induced frizz, without spending hours detangling. 

The barefaced selfie is a uniquely personal pic from Jennifer Aniston, who recently opened up about frustrations with rumors about her private life. 

“I used to take it all very personally—the pregnancy rumors and the whole, ‘Oh, she chose career over kids’ assumption,’” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s like, ‘You have no clue what’s going with me personally, medically, why I can’t…can I have kids?’ They don’t know anything, and it was really hurtful and just nasty…. It’s the same with Dolly Parton; Dolly Parton never had kids. But are people giving her shit for it? No, no one’s tried to put her in a white picket fence.” 

In a September interview with Glamour, Aniston mentioned that while her Morning Show character is writing a memoir, that’s not in the cards for her just yet. 

“I say that now, but you know, cut to four or five years from now, and I might be like: ‘I’m going to write a memoir!’” Aniston said. “But I’m still living it. I have nothing to memoir about just yet.” 

If you passed by a newsstand or checkout counter in the early to mid aughts, you no doubt saw the countless tabloid covers purporting that Jennifer Aniston was pregnant—sometimes with twins! The sheer number of stories about Aniston’s reproductive plans was overwhelming. Like, why? In a new interview the star herself is opening up about the impact the media frenzy had on her, and how she’s learned to tune it out.

“What the tabloids and the media did to people’s personal lives back then, regular people are doing now,” she tells The Hollywood Reporter. She jokingly added, “Although I haven’t seen a tabloid in so long. Am I still having twins? Am I going to be the miracle mother at 52?”

On whether attention toward her private life has affected her professional one, Aniston said, “Well, people certainly project onto you and all that, but my job is to go, ‘Listen, I’ll show you what I’m capable of, and you decide if you want to subscribe.’ So you disappear as much as you can, you have fun, you take on these weird roles, you don’t give a shit, you enjoy yourself, you remember that you have a gorgeous group of friends, and your life is blessed and you do the best that you can.” 

With a jam-packed slate of new projects coming up, Jennifer Aniston is truly living her best, Dolly-esque life. And that’s that on that.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux may have ended their relationship, but not their friendship. The two actors, who were married in 2015 and announced their split in 2018, have remained close since, and a new picture posted by Theroux proves it.

The longtime pals were on set together on Tuesday, December 7, for a live reading of an episode of the classic sitcom The Facts of Life on ABC. While rehearsing, he and Aniston embraced but were photo-bombed by costar Ann Dowd, leading to a pict Theroux called an “Anne [sic] sandwich” on his Instagram Stories.

The two had a very amicable split, especially by Hollywood standards. “I would say we’ve remained friends,” Theroux revealed in April to Esquire. “We FaceTime. We text. Like it or not, we didn’t have that dramatic split, and we love each other. I’m sincere when I say that I cherish our friendship.”

He added, “We can not be together and still bring each other joy and friendship. Also, she makes me laugh very, very hard. She’s a hilarious person. It would be a loss if we weren’t in contact, for me personally. And I’d like to think the same for her.”

Theroux previously opened up about his breakup with Jennifer Aniston to The New York Times. “It was heartbreaking,” he said. “Only in the sense that the friendship would not be the same, as far as just the day to day. But the friendship is shifting and changing, you know, so that part is something that we’re both very proud of.”

In their statement announcing the breakup, they said, “This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.” It sounds like that’s more or less exactly what happened.

And those are the facts. Of life.

Jake Gyllenhaal said filming sex scenes with Jennifer Aniston was like “torture” on the set of their 2002 drama The Good Girl. And it’s because Gyllenhaal had a crush on her.

Filming sex scenes is incredibly awkward. Actors have to make out and perform choreographed movements that look like sex all in front of a full crew, which can include dozens of people. It’s not sexy, but it’s intense, especially when you have a little crush on the very famous actor your sex scenes are with. 

As a guest on The Howard Stern Show, Gyllenhaal opened up about how he felt about his intimate scenes with Aniston almost 20 years ago. At the time, Friends was still on the air, so Aniston was as famous as ever. 

“[Filming the sex scenes] was torture—yes it was,” Gyllenhaal said. “But it was also not torture. I mean, come on, it was like a mix of both.”

The Good Girl—directed by Miguel Arteta and written by Mike White (creator and writer of HBO’s The White Lotus)—follows Justine (Aniston), a cashier at a discount store in a small Texas town who is dissatisfied with her life, including her husband. She starts to notice a young new cashier, Holden (Gyllenhaal), and they have an affair. 

“Weirdly, love scenes are awkward, because there are maybe 30, 50 people watching it? That doesn’t turn me on,” Gyllenhaal said. “It’s oddly mechanical. And also it’s a dance—you’re choreographing for a camera. You can get in it, but it’s like a fight scene, you have to choreograph those scenes.”

Jake Gyllenhaal added that Jennifer Aniston made the sex scenes more comfortable for both of them by suggesting what is known as “the pillow technique,” which means a pillow was placed in between them during the scenes.  “I think that was actually a Jennifer suggestion,” he said. “I think she was actually very kind to suggest it before we began…. She was like, ‘I’m putting a pillow here.’ That was it; that was all she said.”

Does anyone have any single…friends…who would be down for a set-up? Because the eligible Jennifer Aniston is ready to date again.

After a long relationship hiatus following her split from Justin Theroux in 2017, Aniston revealed on Bruce Bozzi‘s SiriusXM podcast Lunch with Bruce that she’s looking for her next partner. “No one of importance has hit my radar yet,” she said, per JustJared. “But I think it’s, I think it’s time. I think I’m ready to share myself with another.”

We are so here for this. As Leslie Knope once said, in an episode of Parks and Recreation that, coincidentally, featured Theroux as a guest star, “Oh, Jen. I really want you to be happy. Stay away from John Mayer.” Couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

“I didn’t want to for a long time,” Aniston continued on Lunch With Bruce, explaining, “I loved really being my own woman. Without being a part of a couple. I’ve been a part of a couple since I was 20, so there was something really nice about taking the time.”

As for how Jennifer Aniston would like to connect with someone, it’s not through her phone. “No Tinders and no Rayas please,” she said. “I’m an old-school girl.” Her list of musts includes a good kisser “and also the ease at which the conversation flows the first time. That’s kind of a good indicator. Confidence, but not a cockiness. Humor, please, I beg of you. Beg of you! Generous. Kind to people.”

And if you know anything about the star, you know you’ll need to be vaccinated to even get near her. She revealed in August she’s cut anti-vaxxers out of her life. “We have to care about more than just ourselves here,” she said.

The Morning Show star was recently linked to her Friends costar David Schwimmer, but both denied the rumors. It appears that was more wishful thinking by Ross and Rachel fans than an actual relationship.

Glamour: Alex gets a dog this season. For a minute there, I thought it was one of yours in real life.

Jennifer Aniston: No, but boy, that dog named Benny—I fell so madly in love with this animal. This dog was like a human and a stuffed animal dog. You can do anything with him. His most favorite thing was to lay in a bed and just be rubbed. He’d be waiting to come on set, and you’d find him in a different person’s lap. He was like a therapy dog for our crew, which we really needed it at that point. It was so lovely to have that angel dog there.

In an early scene, we see you in the snow chopping wood. I have to say, you were giving Sylvester Stallone in Rocky IV a run for his money. Was that you or a stunt double?

It was me. That was during a time when I had a 9-mm bulging disc, too. So I basically had two takes in me to get that swing in. And then they had a wonderful stand-in to do some of the big, wider shots.

I’m so sorry you went through that.

Thank you, I know; it was crazy. And then a month and a half after that 9-mm bulging disc that I had to get an epidural for, I was rear-ended on the 405 freeway at rush hour at 55 miles an hour. It was one of those crazy ends to the year. But I’m all healed. Healed, and ready to go.

I’m glad you’re doing better now. And speaking of going through a lot, we learn that Alex is writing a memoir during her time away from The Morning Show. Is that something you would ever want to do—write about your life experiences?

Julianna Margulies joins the show this season, and you two have known each other since the days of ER and Friends, which filmed next to each other on the Warner Bros. lot. What was it like to reunite?

Jennifer Aniston has graciously addressed one of the most chaotic rumors of all time.

These days, anyone can say whatever they want online, and people might take it seriously enough to believe it’s true. Over the summer, for example, questionable rumors surfaced that Friends stars Aniston and David Schwimmer were dating IRL. And people believed them.

The rumors were born out of a speculative report in the U.K. publication Closer detailing the time Aniston and Schwimmer were allegedly spending together. During the Friends reunion, which aired on HBO Max in May, Schwimmer admitted he initially had a crush on Aniston. In return, Aniston admitted to having a crush on Schwimmer. (I mean, who wouldn’t have a crush on Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer in 1994?)

“The first season I had a major crush on Jen,” Schwimmer said in the reunion. In response, Aniston said, “It was reciprocated.” 

“At some point, we were crushing hard on each other,” Schwimmer said. “But it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship, and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.” 

Schwimmer and Aniston added that instead of turning their romance into a real one, they kept it professional and channeled their crushes into their performances together. 

In August, Schwimmer’s reps confirmed the IRL dating rumors were false. Aniston is aware of the chatter, as well, and recently told Entertainment Tonight exactly how she feels about it. 

“That was bizarre,” she said. “I could not believe that, actually. Like, really? That’s my brother! But I understand it, though. It just shows you how hopeful people are for fantasies for dreams to come true.”

Aniston is clearly aware of the deep nostalgic connection people have with Ross and Rachel, but she’s not letting fans run wild. She and Schwimmer were acting on Friends, after all. Maybe they were just too good at it. 

Are David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston dating? This rumor took over the internet after the U.K. tabloid Closer reported the Friends costars have been spending time together. 

A source told the outlet, “After the reunion, it became clear that reminiscing over the past had stirred up feelings for both of them and that chemistry they’d always had to bury was still there. They began texting immediately after filming, and just last month, David flew from his home in New York to see Jen in L.A. They’ve been spending time at Jen’s home, where she’s cooked dinners in the evenings, and have enjoyed quality time together, chatting and laughing. They were also spotted drinking wine, deep in conversation, as they walked around one of Jen’s favorite vineyards in Santa Barbara, where it was clear there was lots of chemistry between them.”

But don’t get too excited yet. HuffPost U.K. spoke to Schwimmer’s rep about this rumor, and they say it’s not true. Sadly, it looks like any romance between Aniston and Schwimmer happened when they were on TV as Ross and Rachel. 

Fans, however, are still shipping them hard-core:

Jennifer Aniston is standing by her decision to cut people who refuse to get vaccinated against COVID-19 out of her life. 

Aniston first opened up on the topic to InStyle in a September cover profile that was published on August 3. “There’s still a large group of people who are anti-vaxxers or just don’t listen to the facts,” Aniston said. “It’s a real shame. I’ve just lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated], and it was unfortunate. I feel it’s your moral and professional obligation to inform since we’re not all podded up and being tested every single day. It’s tricky because everyone is entitled to their own opinion—but a lot of opinions don’t feel based in anything except fear or propaganda.”

Despite the fact that coronavirus cases continue to surge across the country, Jennifer Aniston has faced some blowback from fans regarding the interview. On August 5, she took to Instagram to respond to one particular commenter who asked, “But if she’s vaccinated she’s protected correct? Why be worried about unvaxxed around her?”

The actor, who has been vocal about masking up throughout the pandemic, responded in her stories. “Because if you have the variant, you are still able to give it to me,” she wrote. “I may get slightly sick but I will not be admitted to a hospital and or die. BUT I CAN give it to someone who does not have the vaccine and whose health is compromised (or has a previous existing condition)—and therefore I would put their lives at risk. THAT is why I worry. We have to care about more than just ourselves here.” That part!

In her next IG story, Aniston re-’grammed an image from @badasscrosstitch, which read, “What doesn’t kill you mutates and tries again.”

It looks like we have another Jennifer Aniston doppelgänger on our hands. 

On June 30, TikTok user @she_plusthree (real name Lisa Tranel) shared a video lip-synching to a high-key relatable quote by Rachel Green, the iconic fashion executive played by Aniston on Friends. “I wanna quit, but then I think I should stick it out, but then I think, Why would a person stay in such a demeaning job just because it’s remotely related to the field they’re interested in?” Tranel “says” in her video. 

I don’t have a good answer to that question, but I do have some questions of my own about the TikTok, which got 2 million views and over 250,000 likes in just 24 hours. Like many, many people in the comments, I couldn’t help but notice how much Tranel looks like the actor she is emulating. How?! 

“I actually thought it was Jennifer Aniston. Wow,” one user commented, receiving 63,000 likes from other viewers. It’s not just that Tranel shares Aniston’s features, though. As another user pointed out, she really “nailed” the actor’s expressions. 

Obviously, Tranel is aware of their resemblance. In fact, her TikTok bio reads, simply, “Not Jennifer Aniston ?.” Watch her video, here:

This comes around the same time dancer-actor Julianne Hough revealed her own inner Aniston with new blonde highlights. On June 30, Hough’s hairstylist debuted the fresh look on Instagram, proving Hough is almost a dead ringer for the Friends star. Seriously, these three women could be sisters.

There are few TikTok videos more delightful than the ones made by unexpected celebrity look-alikes. Back in August 2020, Priscila Beatrice went so viral for her Rihanna-esque appearance that the Fenty mogul couldn’t help but weigh in. “Where the album sis? #R9,” the singer joked at the time.
