“We have been shamed and mischaracterized for too long,” said one disgruntled Pisces when I asked her about her relationship to our besmirched sign. “This whole ‘Pisces are irresponsible dreamers who can’t do real adult life’ thing is wrong!” (She classed Geminis on the other hand as “the real villains of the zodiac.”)

“While I am creative,” offered another, “I’m also a stone-cold bitch.”

We were legion—we well-adjusted Pisces. And I wanted justice for us, which is how I ended up emailing a generic inbox associated with Susan Miller smack dab in the middle of Pisces season as the world crumbled around us. I’m too scared to reread the email now, which has to be described as a rant. But I do remember articulating the numerous issues I had with the toxic Pisces brand.

Within 24 hours, an assistant emailed me back to tell me Susan Miller wanted to talk. I was feeling bold that morning and a series of calamitous push alerts had set me on edge, so I went for it. When she picked up, I told her the sign was false advertising. Libelous! I didn’t understand it and I didn’t accept it. I demanded a full accounting.

“You have the wrong idea,” she said, her tone grave, after I’d finished. She’d read the email I’d sent and it rendered her “speechless.”

“I didn’t even know where to begin,” she said. It was all a huge mistake, she told me—an amateurish misapprehension of the stars.

“Forbes said that there are more Pisces billionaires—and also Virgo, the opposite sign—than all other signs,” Miller said. “That’s just statistics.” What some less skilled stargazers interpreted as a kind of aimless dreaminess obscured the fact that Pisces are some of our most creative and flexible people. We brim with passion!

Miller believed that the bewilderment about Pisces’ true nature could be chalked up to a misunderstanding over the role that Neptune—God of the Seas, are we still following?—has in its actions. Neptune—ruler of Pisces, let’s just go with it—also controls the subconscious. “You ask Pisces, ‘Where did you get that great idea?’ They kind of look at you and say, ‘I don’t know, actually,’” Miller said. “And they really don’t know! Because they’re taking bits and pieces of the world and linking them together to create something entirely new. That is the most creative sign of the zodiac, because of Neptune.”

You may start to find that it’s easier to spend your time alone than surrounded by the wrong company this year. That realization alone will make you realize how special the people who you do align with are. Do not take your life for granted any longer. Share with the people you love through gift giving and words of affirmation in 2022. You are on the right path, but gratitude will get you to your goals much more quickly, Aries.

Taurus (April 20—May 20)

2022 is sure to be a transformative year with the nodal shift and eclipse season occupying your sign throughout the year, Taurus. If you’ve been sitting in the background of your own life, this will be the year where your position finally changes and you start to see yourself as the main character that you always have been! Expect the unexpected when it comes to love, whether this is a surprise upgrade or completion of your existing relationship.

Ah, my twins! 2022 will ask you to create a new level of stability and balance in your life. With the nodal axis shifting from you and your sister sign (Gemini and Sagittarius) to the current occupying signs of Taurus and Scorpio, there will be less activation and triggering in the air for my Gems. Pisces

The Devil: When you’re buried deep in righteousness, it can be hard to see your own missteps. The Universe has been trying to gently nudge you in the direction of change, but if you don’t heed the warning soon, these nudges could turn into full-blown shoves. You have to let go of the expectations that have been fed to you. “Do more, be more, share more, spend more”—let it all blow away in the wind. Separate yourself from what the world tells you to desire and ask yourself, honestly, “What do you want?”

When you let yourself find freedom from the known, you start to look at the world through a fresh set of eyes. What has been bogging you down from living your life for so long? If you still find yourself trying to meet unrealistic expectations, ask yourself who’s holding you to these standards. When did this internal narrative begin? You are free to break this cycle whenever you desire, but it seems that some of my Virgos need to be more willing to release their interwoven  identity from the grips of perfection. March is just the month to set yourself free.

Two of Pentacles: There’s a battle going on between your head and your heart in February. For some Virgos, it’s a question of “Should I stay or should I go?” If you’re unhappy with your current job, living situation, or relationship, you’ll be making changes to your external reality to fix this. You are safe to make yourself the number-one priority this month, dear Virgo. Understand that anyone who can’t see your worth simply has their head buried too deeply in the sand to bear witness to your shine. So whether this is a boss, a roommate, a family member, or an unrequited love—it’s time for you to become your own source of safety and validation.

Avoid further disappointment by removing the people in your life who are not reciprocating the same support that you offer to them. You’re being asked to look at life with an abundance mindset. Remind yourself: “I am never without; I will always be met with the people and opportunities I need to thrive.” Let go of any lingering feelings of scarcity. You are protected this month!

No longer do you need to fixate on what’s going wrong, how heavy life feels, or which wounds need your attention. If you hold yourself back from living life to its fullest, not only are you missing out, but the rest of the world is missing out on you!

Understand that everything going on in your life is a product of you saying “yes” to it (or them) at some point or another. Are you ready to revoke someone’s rights to your time? Are you ready to reallocate someone’s role in your life? March is going to be a month full of generosity and reciprocity, so make sure to ask for help when you need it.
