Celebrities like Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski aren’t at all afraid to embrace loose, oversized clothing—including baggy pants, the latest roomy silhouette to earn a prime spot in their wardrobe. Although these slouchy bottoms are closely related to the fashion girlie-beloved puddle pants, these baggy pants feel infinitely more wearable, thanks to the structured break that makes the trousers crumple at the ankle, rather than dragging on the floor, bringing street grime into your recently-cleaned living room. 

The baggy pants trend is, of course, nothing new. Old Hollywood fashion icons like Katherine Hepburn and Lauren Bacall routinely wore loose-fitting trousers, and it’s not hard to see why. The semi-structured style (whether in denim, leather, or silk) plays well with just about any top or knit in your closet, from button-downs to grandpa sweater vests, and looks on-point with mules, sneakers, or loafers. 

Thanks to their inherent versatility, baggy pants can be worn on a dinner date, at work, or even in a classroom. They’re also perfect for transitioning from winter to spring—yep, you can pair them with everything from heavy coats and puffer jackets to duster cardigans and cropped T-shirts alike—meaning it’s high time to add at least one pair to your rotation.

Emily Ratajkowski’s ripped baggy jeans are the perfect base for almost any outfit—even one that includes a bold zebra overcoat. The most glorious thing to happen during New York Fashion Week wasn’t the incredibly cool street style or the glamorous runway shows, but rather, the advancement of the Fexi agenda. 

Euphoria stars Angus Cloud and Maude Apatow attended a dinner to celebrate American designer Thom Browne, and sure enough, the internet burst into flames. The actors, who play Fezco and Lexi Howard respectively, have become pop culture’s latest fake It couple after audiences fell in love with their storyline in Euphoria‘s second season. 

Weeks ahead of the brand’s fall-winter 2022 show, which will be held in April, Angus Cloud, Maude Apatow, and friends of the house came together on Wednesday night in Thom Browne’s classic tartan print that debuted in 2006—a gray and navy colorway that’s recognized by the Tartan Registry of Scotland. Cloud, who starred in the brand’s preshow lookbook, wore a tailored suit, and his onscreen counterpart wore a pleated skirt, tights, and a mini dachshund purse.

We were crossing our fingers the entire week that they would be spotted together at some point during New York Fashion Week, and it worked: Cloud ate Flamin’ Hot Cheetos in the front row of Coach’s fall-winter 2022 with Megan Thee Stallion, while Apatow moderated a discussion with Rodarte’s designers. Honestly, the range is unmatched. 

Cloud previously told Glamour (and his Twitter followers) that he’s #FexiForLife, saying “Personally, I think [they’re] cool. I mean, they gonna do what they will. Hopefully, Lexi knows what she’s getting into.”

While our favorite slow-burn onscreen romance hasn’t happened quite yet, we can fantasize about a high-fashion version of Fexi taking New York Fashion Week by storm in a parallel universe.

Following her performance, Megan Thee Stallion was also spotted at the 2022 Super Bowl, which took place in Los Angeles on February 13. This was Megan’s first time attending the biggest sporting event of the year, and though her look was more low-key than the night before, we’re still obsessed with her Chanel top and mini skirt combo. 

Of course, at least one brand was smart enough to capitalize off Megan Thee Stallion’s fame and talent. During the commercial breaks, the rapper was featured in a Flaming Hot Cheetos and Doritos Super Bowl ad. Here’s the teaser, which premiered three weeks ago and featured a very confused Megan being asked about “sloth allergies.”

The question made a whole lot more sense when the full advertisement featured a series of woodland creatures grooving to Megan’s remix of Salt-N-Pepa’s iconic song “Push It.” She also voiced the commercial’s little red bird.

Zendaya is already on track to be one of the best-dressed celebs of 2022, just like the youngest-ever CFDA Fashion Icon was in 2021. Zendaya and her stylist Law Roach can clearly do no wrong.

On Wednesday, January 5, the Emmy winner attended a photo call in Los Angeles for the upcoming second season of Euphoria, wearing vintage Valentino from the early ’90s. I am so sorry to deliver the news that the 1990s are considered vintage now. 

The striking striped gown from Valentino’s spring-summer 1992 line was originally worn on the runway by supermodel Linda Evangelista. Zendaya would not be born until 1996, four years after this dress was made. 

The black-and-white striped dress is strapless with a scalloped neckline. It has a mermaid fit, hugging the body until it cascades slightly at the bottom. Zendaya styled the gown simply with silver drop earrings. She wore her hair red (just like Evangelista’s) and in a glamorous parted updo with some hair swept to the side, which emphasizes the unique scalloped neckline. Zendaya also kept her makeup relatively simple, with a subtle silver smoky eye, rosy cheeks, and a nude orange-toned glossy lip.

In a December 2021 interview with Colman Domingo for Interview magazine, Zendaya talked about her desires for young people who watch Euphoria, explaining that she hopes they can look beyond the iconic makeup and hoodies. 

“My hope is that the show makes somebody who has either gone through addiction, or knows somebody who has, feel they are less alone in their experiences, and that maybe it gives somebody the lexicon to communicate with their loved one who needs help, or it gives the ability for that loved one to say, ‘Listen, this is how I feel. I couldn’t explain it to you, but just watch this and you’ll understand where I’m coming from,’” she said. “Because the cool thing about Rue is, she makes bad decisions and she hurts a lot of people, but we still love her and we still root for her, and that’s a feeling that I hope people will take on with their own loved ones or other people suffering from addiction.”

The second season of HBO’s Euphoria premieres on Sunday, January 9. 

When promoting a Spider-Man movie, every little detail and Easter egg counts. So far, Zendaya has understood the assignment.

On December 13, the CFDA Fashion Icon showed up to the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home with yet another iconic look. She wore a custom Valentino nude dress with black, spiderweb beaded detailing. The dress had a plunging neckline and a waist-high slit that showed off her legs.

Zendaya wore her hair in butt-length braids, and of course, her accessories elevated the outfit. She opted for black Louboutin pointy-toe pumps and sparkled in Bvlgari diamond drop earrings, but the real show stopper was a black lace mask. The mask was a bit less Marvel and a bit more DC, though, giving Zendaya a Catwoman-like air of mystery. Beneath the mask, she wore a geometric black, blue, and white cat-eye look with a nude lip.

This isn’t Zendaya’s first Spider-Man-inspired look on the press tour. She wore spider web earrings to a London photo call, and her Ballon D’Or photo call outfit turned a simple LBD into a Doctor Octopus tribute. 

Zendaya’s costar and rumored boyfriend Tom Holland was all smiles with her on the red carpet. He opted for a custom Prada double-breasted suit, and he followed Zendaya’s lead with a pair of Louboutin shoes. 

Though the two have been plenty affectionate on the red carpet together, Zendaya and Holland haven’t explicitly confirmed anything about their relationship status. Holland told GQ in November that he prefers to keep his private life private, and he won’t discuss anything about their relationship without Zendaya present. 

“One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world,” Holland said.

Elle Fanning just blurred the lines between jewelry and clothing with a bold Balmain look.

At the 6th Annual InStyle Awards on Monday, November 15, Fanning wore a dramatic crop top that resembled a chain-link bracelet. The top was made of gold metal and studded with large oval crystals. She let that piece be the focal point of the ensemble, pairing it with a simple yet sleek floor-length black skirt. 

The top, designed by Olivier Rousteing, was backless, held together by a simple gold chain and hung around her neck like a halter top. The actor completed the look with gold rings on each finger, her signature rosy cheeks, and a bright red lip with nails to match. 

Elle Fanning’s longtime stylist Samantha McMillen was honored with the stylist of the year award at the ceremony. Not only did Fanning get to present McMillen with the award, she posted the most touching tribute on Instagram. 

“THIS. WOMAN. My Mama Unicorn won STYLIST OF THE YEAR tonight,” Fanning wrote. “But Samantha McMillen is my stylist of the year every day! Fanning’s been wearing plenty of elaborate style lately as Empress Catherine in Hulu’s The Great. She’s already earned a best actress Golden Globe nomination, and season two of the anti-historical comedy drops on Friday, November 19. If the trailer is to be believed, it’s coming with even more elaborate royal gowns and headdresses. I’m patiently waiting for its Emmy nomination for outstanding period costumes. 

If you knew you were getting an award for being, quite literally, a fashion icon at the 2021 CFDA awards, what would you wear? For Zendaya, the answer is this: a red bandeau crop top and a matching floor-length column skirt with billowing peplum detail. 

The actor, 25, attended the ceremony Wednesday night in New York where she was presented with the Fashion Icon award—the youngest person to ever receive the honor—by supermodel Iman, 2010’s recipient of the same award. Zendaya accentuated her custom Vera Wang outfit with elegant diamond jewelry and gorgeous long braids. Honestly, it’d be hard to refrain from using the word “iconic” when describing the head-to-toe look. 

Zendaya, in partnership with her trusted longtime stylist Law Roach, is that rare celebrity who always seems to understand not only what to wear but how to wear it. Every time she hits a red carpet, she manages to look like the most stylish but also—and this is key—the most modern person in the room without ever fully giving herself over to fleeting trends. She takes risks with her clothing but also grounds every look enough with something classic so that her style has developed a staying  power that, most likely, won’t feel dated. Her palpable confidence also helps no matter if she’s wearing custom couture or Target, something she elaborated on for  InStyle‘s November issue.

Megan Thee Stallion just ushered in Hot Girl Fall with her latest Instagram outfit post. 

In an October 21 Instagram, Tina Snow lived up to her surname in an all-white, sheer bodycon dress with cutouts around the waist. She paired the ’fit with a silver eye look, white strappy heels with ties around the ankle, and diamonds on her wrist and neck. Icy.

In the post’s caption, she told her followers to prepare for the October 22 release of the single “SG”—standing for “Sexy Girl.” The song is a collaboration among DJ Snake, Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Ozuna, Lisa of K-pop group Blackpink, and the Hot Girl Coach herself. When worlds collide! 

White seemed to be Megan’s outfit color of choice to promote the single. In shots from the music video, she wore a white metal mesh dress with slits up the side, designed by Natalia Fedner, according to Page Six. 

Not to worry Hotties, Hot Girl Fall is coming with even more new tunes. In another Instagram post, Megan Thee Stallion announced she’ll be releasing previously unreleased songs in a project called From Thee Archives on October 29. The new compilation will drop just before Halloween, so she promoted it with a spicy devil look. Let the countdown begin!

“My gift to my hotties 10/29 ‍? freestyles y’all been asking for plus a few unreleased songs from my archives to hold y’all over for the rest of the year ?,” Megan wrote on Instagram. As if that wasn’t enough, she’s also collaborating with Popeyes in what’s certain to be the newest celeb fast-food craze: The Hottie Sauce. Truly, the Hot Girls will not go hungry this fall.
