Just in time for the holiday shopping season, Ivy Park dropped its latest collaboration with Adidas. And the accompanying video features Beyoncé with both her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi. Obviously, the three look absolutely iconic together.

Titled #HALLSOFIVY, the video puts a new spin on the “Ivy League” collegiate aesthetic, panning over an idyllic New England campus with strings in the background before cutting to models in a combination of houndstooth, plaid, and streetwear playing different sports.

Besides the models, we spotted a number of famous faces in this 90-second video. There’s Natalie Bryant, daughter of Kobe, winking at the camera, and Ava and Deacon Phillippe, children of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, in the Ping-Pong scene. And Brooklyn Nets player James Harden

Of course, Beyoncé herself struts her way in and out of the video in multiple stunning ’fits. But the best moment is when her daughter, Blue Ivy, pushes a rack of basketballs into frame and is then joined by mom Bey holding sister Rumi. It’s around the 52-second mark:

“I know my daughter is watching.  Two daughters and my son, y’all are all watching,” Beyoncé said while accepting a Grammy in March. “Congratulations, Blue. She won a Grammy tonight. I’m so proud of you, and I’m so honored to be your mommy, all of your mommies. Y’all are my babies. And I’m so proud of y’all. I love you so much, my rock…. As an artist, I believe it’s my job, and all of our jobs, to reflect the times. It has been such a difficult time, so I wanted to uplift, encourage, and celebrate all of the beautiful Black queens and kings that continue to inspire me and inspire the whole world. This is so overwhelming. I’ve been working for my whole life, since nine years old, and I can’t believe this happened. This is such a magical night. Thank you so much.”

Beyoncé Shared the Cutest Photos of Blue Ivy Wearing a Crown and Holding Her First Grammy https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/beyonce-shared-the-cutest-photos-of-blue-ivy-wearing-a-crown-and-holding-her-first-grammy.html Thu, 18 Mar 2021 15:53:38 +0000 https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/beyonce-shared-the-cutest-photos-of-blue-ivy-wearing-a-crown-and-holding-her-first-grammy.html [ad_1]

Blue Ivy isn’t even 10 years old, and she’s already a Grammy winner. Are you surprised? I mean, her parents are Beyoncé and Jay-Z

On March 17, Queen Bey shared some photos and videos of her own record-breaking 28 Grammy wins and included a few shots of Blue. If you don’t know, the 9-year-old won her first Grammy this year for Best Music Video (she’s credited on “Brown Skin Girl”). In the pics, Blue is holding her Grammy and wearing a crown—and in another one, she’s drinking out of the Grammy. Icon behavior! Check them out here

Blue is now the second-youngest person to win a Grammy in history. Talk about bragging rights! She wasn’t at the Grammy Awards with her parents on March 14, but Beyoncé did give her a shout-out in her acceptance speech. “Thank you, guys, so much. Oh my God. I am so honored. I am so excited. Thank you, guys. As an artist, I believe it’s my job, and all of our jobs, to reflect the times. It has been such a difficult time, so I wanted to uplift, encourage, and celebrate all of the beautiful Black queens and kings that continue to inspire me and inspire the whole world,” she said. “This is so overwhelming. I’ve been working for my whole life, since nine years old, and I can’t believe this happened. This is such a magical night. Thank you so much.”

She continued, “I know my daughter is watching. Two daughters and my son, y’all are all watching. Congratulations, Blue. She won a Grammy tonight. I’m so proud of you, and I’m so honored to be your mommy, all of your mommies. Y’all are my babies. And I’m so proud of y’all. I love you so much, my rock. Enjoy your night. Thank you.”

No, thank you, Beyoncé.

Beyoncé’s Daughter Blue Ivy Just Got Her First Grammy Nomination https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/beyonces-daughter-blue-ivy-just-got-her-first-grammy-nomination.html Sat, 12 Dec 2020 20:09:10 +0000 https://www.community-posts.com/lifestyle/beyonces-daughter-blue-ivy-just-got-her-first-grammy-nomination.html [ad_1]

Blue Ivy Carter is finally getting the credit she deserves.

Blue Ivy, daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, may only be eight years old, but she’s already a Grammy nominee. The young star can be heard singing a few lines in her mom’s song “Brown Skin Girl” from Black Is King, the visual companion to the album The Lion King: The Gift. She also starred in the music video, too, of course!

She’s credited as a co-writer on the song, but when “Brown Skin Girl” was nominated for best music video by the Recording Academy in November, Blue Ivy’s name wasn’t listed. However, the oversight was fixed on December 11, when Blue Ivy’s name was added to an updated nominees list on the Grammys website, per The Associated Press. The Nigerian singer WizKid, who appears in the song as well as the video, was also added .

The AP also notes that her work on “Brown Skin Girl” has already netted Blue Ivy a BET Award and an NAACP Image Award, among other honors.

“Brown Skin Girl” not only features Beyoncé’s daughter but a number of other celebrity cameos as well, including appearances by Naomi Campbell, Kelly Rowland, and Lupita Nyong’o. In fact, all three Carter kids popped up over the course of Black Is King

Beyoncé recently spoke about the special connection she shares with her children—and Blue Ivy’s connection to “Brown Skin Girl” in particular. “Blue is very smart…Blue saw some of the reactions to the ‘Brown Skin Girl’ video, as well as some of the videos from the philanthropic work I’ve done this year. When I tell her I’m proud of her, she tells me that she’s proud of me and that I’m doing a good job,” Beyoncé shared with British Vogue in their December issue. “She melts my heart. I believe the best way to teach them is to be the example.”
