Zendaya Opens Up About Tom Holland in a New Interview

Zendaya has nothing but praise for her onscreen love Tom Holland. And while she might not have publicly confirmed the two are in a relationship (though it’s rumored), she’s more than happy to confirm he’s just as great of a person as he seems. Sorry, but if you want us to stop shipping you two, you’ll have to try harder, Z.

“There are many things, obviously, that I appreciate,” the young star said recently in an interview with InStyle. “In an actor way, I appreciate that he really loves being Spider-Man. It’s a lot of pressure—you take on the role of a superhero wherever you go. To the little kid who walks by, you are Spider-Man.”

“Seeing him at work, even though he’s not a Virgo, he is a perfectionist,” she continued of the boy who…well, we’ll let those car kiss photos speak for themselves. Apparently he’s as dedicated to his craft as she is; Zendaya recalled his top-notch work ethic, saying, “Our director allowed me to come in every day, and it was cool to see how he cares so much about his work and making it right. I watched him do a fight scene all day, which is exhausting. He’d do a move, come back to the monitors, watch it, and say, ‘I can do that better.’ I’d be like, ‘Dude, you got it.’ But he wants us to be perfect, and I really appreciate that.”

Off set, though, it sounds as though Holland isn’t so type-A. Zendaya added, “He’s a fun time. Very charismatic, can make anybody feel comfortable and have a good laugh and a good chat.”

Just a month ago Holland added three flame emoji to a stunning picture Zendaya posted on Instagram, and he wished her a happy birthday by calling her “My MJ” in a post.
