Jennifer Lopez Fired Back at a Fan Who Accused Her of Using ‘Tons’ of Botox

Jennifer Lopez isn’t going to let anyone call her a liar—especially when it comes to skincare

On January 16, the mogul posted another video showing off her new JLo Beauty line. This time, she was promoting her “That Limitless Glow” face mask (no, not that kind of face mask). “Honestly, I can not even see a line on my face,” she says after removing the product. “It is glowy and gorgeous and tight and yummy. It’s the best mask I’ve ever tried…Leave it on for 20 minutes and 10 years—I feel like it took 10 years off my face.”

Still, despite the 51-year-old’s adamance that she has never used Botox or fillers, one commenter on Instagram didn’t believe the pop star’s beautiful skin is due to a great face mask. “But can I just mention that brows and forehead doesn’t move at all when you talk or try to express,” the user wrote in the comments section. “You definitely have Botox. And tons of it. And it’s all good. Just saying.”

Lopez didn’t let the comment slide. “LOL, that’s just my face!!! For the 500 millionth time…I have never done Botox or any injectables or surgery,” she replied, per Buzzfeed. “Just saying’ 🙂 Get you some JLO BEAUTY and feel beautiful in your own skin!!”

She also offered up a less expensive piece of advice. “And here is another JLo Beauty secret: try spending your time being more positive, kind, and uplifting of others don’t spend your time trying to bring others down,” she wrote. “That will keep you youthful and beautiful too!!! Sending you love.”

Although there is nothing wrong with using Botox, Jennifer Lopez recently revealed to Glamour that she’s simply never tried the anti-wrinkle injection. “I’m not that person. I don’t have anything against people doing that; it’s just not my thing,” she said at the time. However, that doesn’t mean she’s ruled it out completely. “I don’t want to have to go to the needles at some point. I’m not saying one day I won’t, but I haven’t yet. I like that I have a more natural look.”

Ultimately, JLo believes beauty is more than what’s on the surface. “I think it starts first, honestly, with who you are on the inside and that shows on your face on the outside,” she said. “That’s number one.”
