Robert Pattinson Just Shared a Rare, Sweet Anecdote About Girlfriend Suki Waterhouse

As much as Robert Pattinson is known for his wild late-night interviews and unhinged celebrity profiles, he typically keeps his private life shrouded in mystery.

However, the actor recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to discuss his upcoming film, The Batman, and got uncharacteristically personal about watching the film with his girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse. Despite being “absolutely terrified” to watch his performance as the masked vigilante, Pattinson revealed that seeing Waterhouse’s reaction “changed the entire thing.”

“I’ve kind of gotten into this habit where I kind of realized I need to be in the perfect balance of serotonin to watch my own stuff,” he explained, regarding his anxiety. “I need to work out for two hours before—I need to have an enormous amount of sugar and caffeine, so whatever I’m watching, I’m like, ‘Yes!’”

Watching with Waterhouse, who Pattinson has been linked to since 2018, really helped the actor put his fears to bed. “It was really her reaction that kind of changed the entire thing because I’m pretty sure she’s not normally into watching kind of superheroes kind of movies,” Pattinson said. “Just seeing that it was capturing her attention the entire time.”

He continued, bringing his hand up to his face, “And then actually just held my hand and just touched it right there and I could feel a little tear. I was like, ‘No way!’” He finished the story with a big smile on his face.

Of course, Kimmel had to go and make it weird for no discernable reason, asking, “And then after the movie was she just all over you? Super sexed-up from Batman?” Literally, why?

Pattinson laughed off the moment before replying with an awkward, “Yeah.”

If that’s the knee-jerk response Kimmel had to a pretty cute story about the couple, it’s no wonder the actor and model try to keep their relationship away from the spotlight. In July 2021, Waterhouse called out the new Gossip Girl reboot for referring to her as “Suki Nobody” in a joke about their relationship. Woof!
